Great sales! Regardless, personally I’d hate to see all this and talent go to gamepass. Padding a never-ending service will not be the greatest motivation for making new inspired quality IPs long term IMO. MS’ handling of scalebound, crackdown3, titan fall, sunset overdrive IPs etc. give me pause to see them in control of a number of beloved IP. MS knows acquiring talent is easier than building it, but I also don’t want to see them buying their way to the top with the ol’ checkbook
I’m not taking this dudes word over what Mark Cerny AND Lisa Su’s have said previously. I’ll continue to be patient for addition console information we’ll be getting the closer we get to release. Side note: since when are hybrid chip customizations abnormal in console design?Haven’t most apu and soc for the last several gens been highly customized?
Hope they reboot the story. Corrupt Cortana was not a place I wanted to see them take the story. They’ve been together since day 1. Having her as the Big Bad sucked! IMO of course...
It ain’t the size of the world map or even game length that determines quality. The art direction, narrative, context for characters/missions, “combat (Core) mechanics”, sound, voice acting and world details that give a game real substance IMO
Good, can’t wait to see it! (Arms folded)
Enslaved , Heavenly Sword, and skewer me now - but I loved their version of DMC. Ninja knows how to make great games. And I especially love their combat systems. Which is probably why I didn’t care about Senua much. But it would be a lie if is said I didn’t get excited anytime I hear they’re tied to an IP or project I care about. I root for them to do well, just wish they hadn’t singed with MicroService
Sure why not, both “samurai” games...only thing missing is the comparison to Nioh 2 while we’re at it. One very deserving to be in the conversation. I’ve found each to have well crafted and different combat systems. Hard to say yet which I find most gratifying...good convo though!
Witcher 3 just needs a more grounded and convincing combat system. More than 3 slash animations. Maybe more like Ryse:Son of Rome meets Dragons Dogma or Reckoning: Kingdom of Amalur, might better suffice while maintaining Witcher’s established identity in story and scope
That’s still 2 YEARS of paying and owning a new box that plays nothing new that your old 900p Xbox one or S can’t play. The only folks crying will be those stuck playing old games still waiting between interesting well budgeted AAA experiences. We’ve already waited an entire generation long for games that never came, now we’re supposed to buy a new console and wait 2 more years to play something built with the series X in mind(1st-party-wise). GTF outta here with that.
Creative freedom as in we’ll take whatever we can get!? Or put anything and everything on gamepass, something will stick. It’ll be interesting to see what we end up getting when MS’ goal is not to sell their box anymore but to sell us services. How will this development and publishing structure affect how games are made and what type of games we get long run. MS has so much more to prove to me that they care about making good games, not just providing bigger services to take my money.
What a waste of an amazing engine and resources spent creating it. All we got was an incomplete MG5...awesome as it was but still incomplete.
Did anyone notice during the live stream that Jeff “unlocks” a PS3 in the astrobot demo then mentions how weird it is, because he’s playing on a PS5. Was that not meant to be a subtle hint at something regarding Sony’s BC going forward? The way said it sounded intentionally coy, which sounded all wink-winkish to me...
Anyone notice during the live stream that Jeff “unlocks” a PS3 in the astrobot demo then mentions how weird it is, because he’s on a PS5.... non-subtle hint to something bigger y’all think?
Lol
Mine should be finished downloading in just a few minutes. Ready to start this journey in T-minus 10. Good hunting fellow Ghosts
Sure, but MS is still optimizing for Xbone going forward so what’s the difference. Bottleneck remains regardless of ditching the OneX
I still don’t quite get it, the OneX(which I own 2 of), is a 4K30FPS console, so should be great at 1440p and 1080p console respectively. So what is the purpose of another 1080/1440p marketed console as “next-gen”, and what value is there for a product like Lockhart for those who bought into the OneX already? Faster loading?...
Assassins Creed reveal already tells us you cannot expect every game to run at 60FPS on either new console. Just because the stream is in 60 doesn’t mean every game will be. Likewise, Sony showed off GT7 on a 30fps stream but will obviously push way past that framerate for release. All in all, just saying the stream Hz rate doesn’t matter that much in regards to final specs we’ll get on various games.
There’s plenty of interesting places to take the Uncharted series, yet plenty of new games to explore. I’ll be happy to see what inspires naughty dog next. I also think they could do wonders with the order:1886 IP since Sony owns it and Ready at Dawn was bought by Facebook. That would be an amazing match to continue an already compelling story with the masters or both; story and gameplay! I would buy that sequel. I know Just dreaming lol
Don’t know about anybody else, I’m about 16hrs in, feeling like this is the assassins creed game I feel we’ve deserved for some time now. Just took Sony to make it.
