Guess I’m gonna have to chop up the PC to pawn parts and sell the monitor. PS5 and 4K@120HzTV is all I’d be needing for a good while!
Ubi doesn’t really like telling stories, they like building worlds. Been awhile since they’ve surprised me in that department. Not surprised they turned down a cool sounding IP like this.
Absolutely, ND knocked it out the park with LOU2 for me as well, almost done playing that on survivor game+ mode, super great game. With these last 2 gems, God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon:ZD, and Bloodborne, calling game of the generation is damn near impossible. Lol
Missed opportunity for MS not to attempt to purchase this IP or team while they were upcoming and had their game console exclusive IMO. I hope they at least tried. MDHR and Cuphead actually made since to me on Xbox and would have given the brand some relative new characters to associate exclusively with MS’ platform. They have 4+Billion to try and get WB games, MDHR would have been small fries. Now like Titanfall before it, one of Xbox’s biggest games comes to its competitor. (I understand MS...
Completely deserving of the high praise. The quality here definitely makes me ponder what is on the horizon for SP. They’ve proven themselves here more than capable of making a top-quality new IP. Where to next for this badass team?
Couldn’t be happier with what I’m playing right now. Nobody does 3rd person combat mechanics like Sony teams. Ghosts is a blast sneaking through the grass or calling suckas to fight standing at the front door. Beautiful open-world that never feels like a chore is so refreshing to see. Travel systems are so good, play at your own pace, yet there’s still a lot of meat on the bone if you like to explore. Good stuff here for fans of the genre and casuals. Think this might be my game of the year s...
Indeed it is James. Multi-plat release on Xbox, PS, and PC
It wasn’t a short one, not for the ADD/ADHD short on time to kill. Very good though, if you happen to have that resource in abundance! It was Fable with crazy good combat for me at the time.
No, I’m good
Looks like Halo 5 graphics and Halo 1 inspiration are gonna have a “game baby” with Shadows of Mordor/War. Randomize the “Boss Brutes” that trashtalk chief at each stronghold. That way the fight can keep going and never end, so to speak. Good luck to 343 on keeping this game fresh for 10 years without a sequel.
Sony - keep doing what they’re doing, maybe give me Bloodborne 2 next gen at some point. The rest of the stable is practically in-place variety-wise
Xbox - learn to support great single-player games with a beginning, middle, and end. Inspired stories, with inspired mechanics and art style are no-brainer hits. Then follow those up with amazing beautiful sequels! Wash, rinse, repeat. Unless we’re taking about sports games or battle Royale games, not every game needs to be a ne...
Sure, if you were looking for an Xbox one Halo meets Shadows of Mordor. “Infinite” swappable brutes with poor trash talking to keep you busy one meaningless mission at a time for the next 10 years right? Sounds amazing. Haha
Gonna be a couple years before I see that purchase as necessary since the 1st party line-up looks barren for launch. Steam and PS5 should have me covered until Fable and Avowed arrive in 2022 or later. Even then a month or 2 or gamepass should catch me up on PC. Definitely won’t be spending as much with xbox this gen so that’s good, but you typically get what you pay for...
Yea, but we’re talking 4 months from release here. God of War 2016 footage didn’t improve that drastically after 2 additional years in development and release in 2018. Can’t imagine we’ll see a revolution in what was shown of Infinite vs. the release product. I think the not polished is a bit of an excuse at this point and with that games budget and importance to the brand personally.
Oh, it’s still dragging that ball and chain called the OneS along with it, so yea I’d say their might be at least one technical limitation lingering around.
That’s dope, this is what I was hoping! Console customizations will be limitless now :)
Here’s my guess. Nope. Personally, I like games worth purchasing, games that feel like a complete experience when I get them, games that don’t feel the need to “evolve” over time. Games as a service is just never-ending filler content to keep a game going. Not the same as providing a new solid classic, then following it up with an inspired sequels without new material being forced once or twice a year. Speaking for my preferences only.
And this game looks like gunk, imo. Doesn’t look anywhere near as charming as R&C or even Psychonauts. Hell, I’d argue splatoon looks better than this graphically. So much for all that power (rolling eyes)
Same as Bloodborne for me. Not technically perfect, but 10/10 for me due to inspired art styles, atmosphere, amazing combat systems, lore found throughout game-world, and since of progression felt super gratifying in both. Tsushima sure is easy on the eyes as well! Another job well done by SP and Sony I have to say!
To be “Rooted” in GAAS
