Cautiously optimistic Sony will get better competition this upcoming gen. That would be great news to me!
The point I walked away with was nobody is the villain, just different perspectives for the characters. Each girl was emotionally scarred and avenging the loss of their “fathers” in a grim post apocalyptic landscape where murder is a daily factor. I thought ND did a clever job of unfolding the story in a way that bonded you to each girls motives. I was conflicted on who to root for by the end to be honest. Felt like they wanted you exhausted and confused at the end. I loved it! I don’t like s...
Very happy to see PC love coming from PS. Nothing but more money to make, builds the Sony brand further, and incentivizes PS5 adoption due to new games still being console exclusive for several years first. Also, still anxiously waiting for an official Bloodborne PC port announcement....
Yea, but combat animation looked choppy and unnatural. Textures and draw distances hard to make a call for now, but the base animations look aged. Health bars over everything that moves looked very immersion breaking
Yup, Ubi and Activision just love re-using old assets, slapping a new sticker on it, and laughing on their way to bank year after year though. License to print money right?
Origins is a great game held back only by being forced to be an “Assassin Creed” game. In my opinion it would have faired better with its own identity, own title, own story. Like an open-world Ryse: Son of Rome. Tying all these continuous games into such a convoluted narrative for the sake of continuing a series, misses the opportunity to tell new and more meaningful organic stories. Can’t remember actually caring about any of the protagonists or NPCs in any AC game. But the parkour sure is f...
You can still tell a lot about that game despite the poor video quality though. HUDs, skill trees, outfit/weapon upgrades shown, on-rails horse paths, uninspired voice acted NPCs, unrealistic dashy combat mechanics....its all there Solid! Lol
More of the same. Voice acting sounded stale. I won’t hold my breath for more than a fun parkour experience. Story has always been convoluted/disjointed to me so I won’t expect this one to fix that either. Also, screen was covered in HUDs, breaks immersion almost as much as “spartan kicking” a dude 2-3X your characters size 20ft across the screen. Nothing about this looks next-gen, physics-wise or in combat animation which also disappoints coming from one of the largest developers and IPs out...
The good ones are lol
Playing on survival game+, so far I’m still I’m still feeling like a female Rambo. Haha
Sci-fi action RPG Dead Space-esqe type game from Sony would be dope! Also, ND would make a great Syphon Filter Reboot or maybe acquire the rights to one more Marvel character and do a Punisher video game. So many options for Sonys talented teams. Can’t wait to see what they pick!
Easy, don’t buy day 1, buy used, also, games are steeply discounted 30-60 days after release these days. Nothing wrong with being a budget gamer, but folks don’t need to feel entitled to be there day 1 if it breaks the bank. If $10 breaks you, pay your bills and hold to what you have left. These are what we call priorities.
This is why Sony games are so dear to me. Most if not all that I’m aware of don’t have MTs. Most don’t even have DLC but the ones that do are typically great additions(First Light/The Old Hunters) They still craft GAMES first and foremost, not like ALMOST all other big publishes that chop important content out of their games to sell later as DLC or have never ending loot and cosmetic systems for MTs purposes. Thank you Sony for your GAMES. I’ll continue to do my best of supporting great ga...
She did, but that was the point. Ellie had other important matters requiring closure that didn’t work for Dina long-run. Happens in real life everyday. Felt right to me. Plus, it makes Ellie’s sacrifice all the more real while on the her steep revenge quest. How far will go, how much will you leave behind to accomplish a goal? Shows what really matters most to these characters.
And the crowd goes wild!!! Goooooaaaaaaaaaaal!!!
Instant world loading, fast traveling, plus great draw distances with little pop-in will all be game changers to immersion in all games, especially open world going forward.
That’s why I support Sony games hardcore. They’re worth the price day1, most of them don’t have DLC at all, and the ones that do are well worth the addition. The rest, EA, Ubi, Activision and MS just live to create new “game models” that somehow end up more about investors and micro-transactions in some form than about actual games. They’ve mostly all sucked for awhile now.
I’d be ok with this if DLC and micro-transactions would disappear, so devs could get back to making prime experiences and not carving their game up to support further purchases downline post release. I miss when everything devs could squeeze was in the base experience or unlocked within the base game. That’s worth a few more bucks to me personally.
The long term result will be games not worth full price though, see how you enjoy those “end products”. I’d rather have games that have the confidence in quality behind their new game launching at full price then those planning on “making it up” on subscriptions and “in-game optional aesthetic upgrades” fancy name for micro transactions lol
Hell to the yea, I’m ready to go again! Say goodbye to 50hrs or more easily!
