Cut-scenes looked great, but they typically do. The gameplay looked like a 360 or OneS though. Definitely didn’t showcase the need for a new console IMO though. I was hoping for mouth-watering graphics if Infinite is optimized specifically for the SeriesX and is to be the flagship game going into next gen. I know we’re still a few months out but this looked far from finished.
MS’ announced game called “The Gunk” kinda personifies Xbox’ lineup from what I saw today. Nothing substantial besides Halo was shown WITH gameplay, likely meaning any good 1st party games are a ways out...
Psychonauts 2 and Destiny 2 had the best GAMEPLAY actually shown throughout the show. Not super encouraged by that. Could be a long wait to play something that justifies the new 12TF machines coming...
I’d bet. MS has moved on to the platform where games never end. Updates til death. Good luck with quality narratives and unnecessary bloating Xbox.
What a bust! Barely any gameplay again. Lol
We’re past April fools
Gotta go:
Demon Souls
Horizon sequel
SM: Miles Morales
R&C
RE:8
Kena
Returnal
and GT7 for now. Plus I’m sure there’s more announcements to come around the corner. Either way, glad I have a little longer to brace for impact to wallet. Haha
What? How to polish a game up to snuff a year+ after release? Enjoyable as it is now, it did launch missing significant content and with a kraken boss battle missing its entire body, just a bunch of giant tentacles. Lol. 1st impressions mean a lot to me, once you’re put in the back log there’s no telling if I’ll have time to make it back...
I said this yesterday and got jumped for it. I’m excited for it either way, but I didn’t care for Cortana as the Big Bad in the last game. Hoping for something fresh this go round, but with chief and cortana on the same side.
It-sa-me. I want 2 dah spicy ah mee-tah-balls, no!?
Happy to see Sucker Punch delivering after the long wait from Second Son. They deserve all the love and praise for their hard work on Ghost. Day 1 support from me, no regrets
Kung Fu Chaos, Bloodwake reboot, Forza 8, Halo-Infinite, Crimson Skies, a Brute Force reboot, Jade Empire sequel, Blinx or Conker reboot, a Kameo sequel, a Tenchu or Ninja Gaiden, Banjo Kazooie remake/reboot, a New Killer Instict or Virtua Fighter, and Fable. Something like this would be my fantasy line-up.
If I had a spare pair of thumbs or had no kids I’d love to debate about this further, but I’m fully aware of how 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party deals work. Won’t convince me that if you have 4 billion dollars to buy up dev teams that you can’t pay for IP rights to games exclusive for your console to ensure they don’t go to your competition. It’s why they needed so many new teams in the 1st place, Xbox need new IP to associate with the brand. Titanfall and Sunset they couldn’t or wouldn’t secure. Is ...
I have so much Xbox sh*t it ain’t even funny. I call spades where I see them. I’ll buy a series X too, but I’m gonna hollar bullsh*t if I don’t see quality coming down the pipeline. Can’t help it if Sony makes bomb-ass games on a continuous basis.
Looks like Ghost meets The Order:1886. I’d totally have played this too! Maybe next gen still...
I’d say it’s mismanagement not scooping the rights to the IP you’re hinging your brand on. Same, how Sony screwed up not bidding early for Crash and Spyro. Xbone launched with Titanfall and then leaned on Sunset later. Now both of those IP are more closely associated with a direct competitor. How is this wise brand/IP-management?
Titanfall - MS don’t own the IP, and the better sequel had a great campaign and was multiplat, and sold better on PS4
Sunset Overdrive - MS don’t own the IP, now Sony owns an Xbox one exclusive game IP
Scalebound - hyped and canceled
Fable game - hyped and canceled earlier project
Crackdown3 - hyped and failed miserably
Not the greatest track record. Can’t imagine why anyone would be skeptical of th...
After a two decade partnership. Come on! Sony helped build Insomniac so to speak. That was an organic relationship/acquisition. Very opposite of a large buyout of this magnitude. Not very comparable at all.
You know a game comes out too often when we’re getting BYOB (Build-your-own-bundle) deals! And this cheap? Good deal for parkour lovers! Haha!!
And,...of course it was (arms folded, rolling eyes)
