Thought the same thing during its reveal, regardless or Craig. The series needed a hard reboot IMO, but because they needed it to support cross-play back to OG Xbox one we got a game that looks overwhelming similar to previous entries, just larger in scale.
So smaller devs and games should just take the smaller check from GP and shut up?
Fresher than the annual CoD and semi-annual Battlefield.
Preach! I’m paying $16 to play Forza Horizon 5 and the Halo campaign through January, then canceling my sub until another big game drops. I’m only one person, but that’s several hundreds of dollars shy of what I would’ve normally spent annually provided Xbox had the same quality content releasing throughout the year(s).
Loved Kameo, would love a sequel. Very underrated platformer. I’d also love to see them bring back Jade Empire, Brute Force, and Bloodwake. All quality titles at the time that could easily be relaunched current gen as online mp titles.
Agreed. Very forgettable. Dumb looking weapons and atmosphere concepts at play….wait….loading my meat gun with Jimmie dean sausage bullets. Lol
Actually excited to see what Playground can do with Fable, but we’ve seen nothing more than a cg cutscene and have no idea how far out that is.
Everwild is the same, and reportedly already getting a rebooted/reworked behind scenes, have no idea when we’ll see the light of that.
The Initiative is the new and unproven “AAAA” studio working on Perfect Dark, not the Coalition, and even they need Crystal Dynamic’s AAA expert “help” in early development to ma...
Because ones a top down(nothing AAA fun about it), one is a sim of flying around(not really a game), and Psychonauts2 is actually on the competition’s platform. So outside of those you mention, we’re back to Halo and Forza for big hitters. Same old Xbox new day.
I’m regards to multiplayer, agreed. But this is why the gold in gaming is still in single player games. Can’t hide a lack of content or the game sinks, no worries about having full lobbies to have fun or worry about the eventual shutdown of servers. You just play. Loads less variables to what you’re getting imo.
Does a “Christ Centered Gamer” really sit around simulating copious amounts of murder in video games?…doesn’t sound like a WWJD hobbie to me…🤔😆🤣
I hope to be doing the same by January. Got steam deck pre-ordered, and I got Zero Dawn on PC last night actually
If you’re a fan of open world ARPGs, Kingdoms of Amalur was a under appreciated golden goose of an experience for its time. Highly recommended if your an old Fable fan like I was
Right!? Reminds me of the old claymation Christmas animated specials. Rudolf and little drummer boy. Looks fantastic and fresh. Game wise I think it looks full of character with mechanics that don’t appear done to death. Can’t wait!
I would too, but instead MS is more focused on selling services. Watch them take every major tent pole franchise and turn it into a Destiny-esqe type game to milk gamers on gamepass for next 10years. Gotta keep those subs rolling right. Then will it be about the games? Or just unfinished product releases with never-ending season passes…
There’s a big difference. If it’s just “help” why not bring in another small no-name studio to assist. Why bring in an existing AAA game team to “help” development. It’s stinks of a bail-out to me for Xbox’s new “AAAA” team. That’s the difference.
Nobody wants to optimize for the SeriesS. Working on sub 1080p graphics these days would be an eyesore for me too.
If that was the case, where was the large PR announcement for that “partnership”. There’s a difference in development help on a ship already set sail versus help getting off the starting block, which is what Crystal Dynamics is doing for Xbox in this instance.
Sad you think SOT is an adequate compromise for having a new actual Fable game, or even news on it for that matter.
Owned Halo: Combat Evolved on day 1. When it dropped for the OG Xbox. Was playing co-op campaign and MP with my buddies day 1 and land partying shortly after. As a long time fan, I think it’s ok to admit Infinite does looks overly familiar still. Same grunts, scrubs, and brutes, Alien structures and atmospheres(new ring every game) rewashed since Halo 2 and 3. Similar to how God of War rebooted, I just thought there was a lot of “space” to create entirely new master chief experiences without ...
