Dunno if I agree with the sentiment in this article. Demons Souls, Retunal, Astrobot, Call of Duty Cold War, Dirt5 and some others I know of had great haptics as far as I’m concerned. Game changer for me when used fully. And I’m sure more and more games that use it are on the way. Not concerned, great gamepad.
More like a better last 2 months
Demon Souls was daunting and awesome, Returnal was a control breaker I couldn’t stop until I conquered, R&C was pure animated blockbuster eye candy, Deathloop was a cheeky blast, Kena was a charming breath of fresh air, Ghost of Tsushima DC was my biggest platinum for the year, and I still haven’t had to the chance to play Death Stranded DC…not to mention all the multi-platform titles I played, I’ve been a spoiled a$$ man-child this year haha
Gotta agree with Merrin. I can’t the overlook quality of games and consistency at delivering them throughout every gen to be sold on a service 1st philosophy. More is not always more to me personally.
If it weren’t for a cheaper easier to manufacture Series S model, who knows.
It likely would be 2:1
It’s what Xbox wants to rely on end-game, and sub numbers being the focus will result in more and more GAAS titles. Just not really my bag to see all my favorite franchises turned into an “infinite” version game like Halo and the upcoming Assassins Creed being worked on. Too meta and never-ending for me. I like quality one-off titles and sequels not more “services”. It’s the philosophy I have a problem with. But to each their own i suppose.
Looks soft to me. I don’t care for Fallout games so Starfield does nothing for me. Redfall, I love the studio and I’ll keep a lookout but doesn’t look like a must have yet, and Stalker 2 looks fine. No proven home runs on deck from what I’m seeing. Currently enjoying Halo and Pyschonauts2 most from this years offering though.
We don’t care. NFTs are for suckers with throwaway time/money
Or the flip side…The Best game that “MS produced” in time to be considered for the game awards was only available and enjoyable by those on PS5s and PCs all year while Xbox fans continue to wait for more AAA’s of quality to dribble in. All I really know is optics are a funny thing.
Games always go on sale down the road, unless we’re talking Nintendo. So, that’s like saying your sorry for every gamer who bought day 1 and the game was cheaper later. That’s the price you pay to experience something first, and some are ok with that. If you want it, buy it and support it. If you wanna cheaper game then wait. Pretty simple if you ask me.
Why am I just learning about CrossfireX now that Remedy is involved for the campaign? Had no idea this was a “long running” franchise. Is it any good? Literally never heard of it until the campaign announcement.
Gaming is art. It can be entertaining, and for many that can be what is desired. But art doesn’t hold your hand and tell you how to feel. I like experiencing an artists creation, wether it’s an ass kicker or not. Wish more games would stay true to their inspiration and not try to be so overly inclusive. Play things that interest you, not make games conform to you. Some games are designed around the challenge, to change them would be to alter the experience.
Least finished for many, must rewarding “W” I got all year personally. Great game, superb story unfolding. Hoping for DLC.
Please let one of the big boys take a swing at it and slay us with an awesome game. Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica, and Sony Bend could all do this IP justice.
If it had been marketed correctly as a strong narrative experience and sold for $30-40 instead of full price, the game would’ve big a huge success and we’d have guaranteed sequels. Loved the game, hope more from this IP is on the way.
Black voice actor - white/Greek character. Not the best example
Dude definitely missed Spider-Man Miles Morales as well. Great Character, damn fun game.
Usual greatness. I beat and enjoyed all those you mentioned. Also throw in Hades, and Demon Souls is close enough to that genre. Been enjoying the @$$ whooping all year long lol
Lol. Must be groundhogs day. What a great movie too.
