I know I’ll be skewered but there lies my problem with this game. If it has an amazing story, which I’m aware of the writing talent, won’t 100+ hour variable run times to see the endgame ruin some of the cohesiveness of the story telling. I need focus not to forget aspects of a story in games less then 50-60hrs. Outside of cool optional fights throughout the world, this feels like an overly gratuitous method for any kind of meaningful or tight narrative to be invested in. I’m very concerned I...

I’m sure you talk to your mom that way too. So a Girl can’t be a badass without being an absolute stunner? Lucky ladies all around you.

4+ if Ragnarok comes out this year, but I completely see your point, they are ballooning production times between iterations these days.

Bloodborne and God of War are neck and neck for my personal GOATs. Playstation really know how to make em’ like no other. Can’t wait to see either of those series on PS5. Atleast we know Ragnarock is coming! Haha

Well that’s because for one company gaming is a side venture that wouldn’t take the company down if it failed, for the other it’s their lifeline to continue their work period. So, which comes across more dedicated and genuine? Just is what it is…Sony has to make good games to survive. Xbox is only worried about services and monthly subscriptions. I do hope Xbox put out more and more quality titles, but I care not for their gaming philosophies. And I say this owning 2 series X consoles, and st...

I have true fiber, still see screen tearing and perceived fps drops and/or lag. Either way, when you play twitch games like DOOM or ARPGs on hard modes like I enjoy, dropped anything is unacceptable.

Cloud based gaming sucks if you have good eyesight. I do expect game streaming quality to catch up one day, but it’s definitely not here or now.

You must have some beer tinted glasses on there. There’s a huge “moral” difference between one-off games from a variety of studios being made temporarily exclusive vs. buying multiple of the industries biggest publishers. Maybe Sony actually take the time to notice and early invest in interesting and upcoming gaming experiences which mutually benefit their players and the studios building the games. They’re not buying the IPs from the devs, everyone gets paid. Completely opposite MS who can’t...

One of the best. Bungie with Halos 1-3 put Xbox on the map to begin with. Now Xbox’s OG best studio is with Sony. So your point is? How is acquiring Bungie a negative for Sony or a plus for Xbox? Also, how is that move “shitting on bread”? They both make super quality games, seems like a great technological team up from where I’m sitting.

Bloodborne was the best example of story and world building told through exploration in FromSoft games. Otherwise, Darksouls always felt like a soul-less mountain climb in the story department. Large vague story arch’s with great level design but zero character development. I’m hoping for more along the lines of Bloodborne and Sekiro in the story department with Elden Ring, not getting my hopes up though.

Agreed, Sony could actually well manage IPs like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, and Assassin’s Creed masterfully back to glory, right in line with Sony’s already single-player heavy inclinations. I like Sony’s IP and studio management better by a long shot, but I too could more easily see MS getting to them 1st - deeper pocketbook and all for another big IP raid. Either way I do wish to see better Ubisoft IP management and less about their NFTs.

Maybe they haven’t canceled too many, but they should’ve canned Crackdown 3 and Recore.

And not one of those games interest me as a 37 year old gamer. Nintendo had nothing exclusive aimed at adults. I have officially out grown Nintendo. I’m sure my kids will love it, but I no longer see a future where they’ll have anything outside of Mario sport titles that i care about.

I got Kena, Deathloop, and Ghost of Tsushima DLC in the latter half of last year. The 1st two were year long console exclusives for PS. One of those was a game of the year contender and can’t be played on Xbox til next September. So, I think it’s empty handed to say Sony had nothing and give Xbox too much credit for 2 games after such a dry year, and a console launch year no less.

Yea, gotta go Motorstorm or even a Jet Moto revival could turn some heads current day.

Ghost of Tsushima expansion was great, Last of Us 1 had a great one, Uncharted Lost Legacy was another good one. Second Son: Dying Light was highly praised if I remember correctly. Bloodborne had one of my favorite DLC of all time. IMO I think it’s safe to say that Sony gets them right, where most others fall short on add-on single player content.

When done with a purpose and more story to tell, it can be great. Either shoe-horned in or carved out content from what should ...

If they’re cosmetic only then I don’t give a rats a$$. If it’s anything other then that, we might have a problem. Enix is and still should be under the microscope after their Avengers game…er.. “happened” haha

Calm your sails. It is definitely coming bud. Just a matter of when, not if. More and more gamers do enjoy the additional options these days. I can’t see them being blind to these features long-term.
