Agreed. I wish Sony and Xbox had given first dibs to existing account holders like this. It would’ve been more secure and built a lot of faith within each community, and would lead to more software sales with more consoles directly in gamers hands. Makes almost too much sense.
Because you’re a gamer parent. Previous generations of parents who didn’t game just wanted to buy us the crap we wanted to shut us up. Many still do this. Now that we’re the parents though, we care about all those little expenditures, because we still game.
Got mine reserved no problems. Put in the cart and was checked out in 5 minutes. Better experience then what I had getting my PS5 or SeriesX consoles.

It’s hardly even a half step. It’s just a new screen. No resolution bump, no new joycons, same previously updated battery. There is literally nothing to see here. Seriously don’t see the point in this, other than buying time.
They came out the shoot with zero new software to support or justify the new hardware. I’d hardly call that a strong start.
If that’s dry humor/sarcasm I agree with you. If not, I think GAAS will be the end of a lot of great high IPs interesting and tightly scripted narratives going forward. Sad direction for my personal taste in games
Considering it was supposed to have been there to launch the Series console originally, I think they wanted all the hype they could muster, then Craig backfired and here we are a year later with still no big Series console exclusives to justify to the new purchase. And yes, I’m a disappointed SeriesX owner currently.

Not every good game needs a sequel. More is not always better. If this is good game, I’ll enjoy it for what it is and move on.
Because Sony doesn’t lean on their PSN service to justify their entire gaming department. Sony still is still the business of creating and nourishing new IPs. What was the last new successful IP created solely by Xbox, and not an acquire IP. It’s been since Forza Horizon since we’ve seen a new staple IP added to their essential line-up. Sad I’m my opinion.
