It’ll be interesting to see the optimization for the base ps4. Definitely getting no more then 30fps, and I’d bet a few frame dips to boot. That’s big beautiful world to render. My PS5 is ready though.
Same for Halo, Forza, and Gears. Can’t wait to see those fully “next”/current-gen.
You could pay for 3 months out of the year, play their best games and dip out for next to nothing. It’s almost like not paying to game anymore 🤔
@itsmebryan, based on the 1st game. We all know that combat was more than basic. Ryse son of Rome had “complex” gameplay compared to Hellblade. It’s a plague tale type game. Heavy on atmosphere, super light on actual combat and gameplay mechanics. Therefore, if it weren’t pretty it wouldn’t stand out. Graphics are what this game has going for it, just like the 1st game.
It’s a “next-gen” linear walking Sim. It should look that good! Anything less would’ve been a disappointment after this much time.
Couldn’t agree more. Value my @$$. Wish they would just shut up and make games worthy of full asking price. Forza was a great start. Halo is fun but there’s missing pieces after an already long delay. Like you said, drip feed. Instead of services, finished quality games would go the furthest in rebuilding the brand if you ask me. Instead though xbox would rather over advertise, under deliver (Crackdown3), and subsidize the industry by purchasing large existing IPs and Publishers and giving i...
Don’t screw it up Ubi! Avatar, Splinter Cel, and Prince of Persia are you last chances for me personally. If it’s more samey Bloated open-world, story takes a back seat, MTX driven…then I’m done with Ubi games.
Agreed. Definitely sarcasm. I’m far from picking up what they’re laying down concept-wise with this game. I don’t think I’d even play this game on gamepass.
Yay, meat bullets for everybody :/
True next-gen? Yet you mention 2 crossgen titles that can be played on the family of consoles. Lol.
I had never played Demon Souls on PS3, so between that gem, Returnal, Deathloop, Miles Morales, Ghost Directors Cut and R&C, my AAA Sony cup has been full. Still haven’t been able to touch Death Stranding so very excited about jumping into the director’s cut there as well. Great Sony year for me personally. The only thing missing I really thought would be there was Horizon 2, but I know the quality is coming so I don’t mind the wait.
Being given away with $1 subscriptions to gamepass. I would know. Not exactly a high bar if they’re games are being given away like old newspapers lol
Or actually pay a few bucks and support the devs, so maybe they can ummmmh…make another game?
As long as they(Xbox) avoid turning all their largest IPs into GaaS, I think they do have a bright future ahead. They bought enough IPs to ensure that. But If they turn every IP into different genres of Destiny2 or Apex, or Sea of Thieves then unfortunately that’s an uninspiring future I’m just not interested in.
Sorry Gamer79 but Ghost of Tsushima was far from a Niche title. It was literally the best Assassin’s Creed game ever made, it just took Sony to make it.
So its been a great year Sony, and a great 2 months for Xbox. Not quite the same. And one of Xbox’s “best games of the year”(Deathloop) is only on PS and PC. Minus the gas lighting, Xbox gets an A for the winter season, rest of the year was pretty much a failing grade for a brand new console to have been launched.
Deathloop wasn’t published by MS. Lol. Tell yourself whatever you need to feel good about another game of the year contender that wasn’t on XBOX this year.
The Sony 1st party library would like to have a word.
That’s some BS and you know it. Deathloop was an amazing experience, regardless of the color of protagonist. It had a fresh gameplay loop, engaging story, original graphic style, and guns and powers felt great. Make an actual point about the game or keep scrolling, but we don’t leave trash comments like that laying around.
So far so good. Had mine up for years. I think genetics might play a small role as well.
