Why? to be locked to Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon. Some folks enjoy adult content.

And the position was bought and not earned. So how at the end of the day does this deal help gamers? It’s not gonna make Xbox’s IP management any better(Crackdown 3 and Recore). Now they just have more IP to drive into the ground by releasing more unfinished games (Sea of Thieves/Halo Infinite) day 1 on gamepass under the excuse it’s a cheap subscription service. Awesome…great future to look forward to.

All their 1st party stuff is marketed for kids these days. If you’re over 25 and take your limited gaming time seriously, there is no reason to invest in Nintendo. Mario and Zelda are cool but not a way for me to spend an entire weekend these days. Can’t stand Pokémon and Metroid stuck in 2D does nothing for me. So 1st party they have nothing for grownups. I wish they would shake that aspect up but I don’t really see that happening. Big N just means nastolgia for me these days.

-A dream scenario would be they snag EA, but with a worth close to 40billion I think they’re out of reach budget-wise for Sony

-A more affordable and efficient move would be to grab Konami, Capcom, and Ubisoft all for under 20 Billion. That would ensure many quality strategic IPs under the QA of Sony publishing for many years to come.

No offense meant towards the actually stats, but switch is a $200-300 dockable handheld system. I never really saw the switch as a comparable market to home consoles. Numbers are numbers, but of course they sell more, they’re marketed to children not mature audiences, they are portable, cheaper and are far weaker spec-wise then their “competition”. So the feat is just not really that impressive IMO. Hell I’m getting my kids switches when they’re old enough but that doesn’t make it a great gam...

Yea, but “other companies” are trillion dollar companies not billion dollar companies. Big difference. One can afford to starve out the other with big money moves alone if they wanted. I don’t mind the $10. I wish others weren’t such cheapscapes about their dearest hobby. But folks seem to prefer accessibility and quantity over quality these days.

And it was a given copy to you with PS+. You obviously never actually supported either game when they came out or the upgrade would be $10 for you. Why now gripe about a game not being cheap enough that you didn’t support to begin with?…Smfh

DLC, MTs, and pre-orders have already changed the core design of games. Hide coveted content for the purpose of adding additional purchases to our games instead of full fledged solid experiences with deserving sequels coming later. Instead we get grand promises, unfinished products, and additional “purchase options”. Pretty disgusting if you remember what games used to be about around the PS2, GameCube, and OG Xbox era.

At least they built it for PS5 1st then downscaled it for PS4 instead of the other way around. Cross-gen or not, it looks ready to set the bar for racing sim graphics. Looks absolutely stunning

Didn’t it already get a State of Play though? They should use an event to focus on Sifu or another or GT7 which are both right around the corner as well. If you’re not sold of Horizon2 yet, blame your own eyeballs because they can no longer recognize quality.

Capcom and Konami under Sony would ensure greats IP games for ages to come.

I still think dudes account got hacked. Jin used to have very articulate takes on the industry as a whole but now it’s like Phil stopped by his house, gave him a series x, and they played a couple rounds of Halo and became BFFs. BIG difference in his takes these days.

Big gap between one off studio purchases and multiple publisher buyouts. Not whining, just saying there is more then a slight difference.

Well they did get Days gone and Horizon already as well haha…I kid I kid

Gotta go Bloodborne, GodofWar, Last of Us 2 for my last-gen top 3.

Lets be real, outside of 3 franchises Xbox has been pretty bare bone exclusives-wise for some time now.

Half a billion dollars and an extra year delay and still no co-op campaign….world of good. Right

Just found 30! SeriesX bundles at my local GameStop…so… not sure about the supply constraint there 🤷🏼‍♂️

1000 times yes. This has been warranted for a while now. Definitely would stand to amaze all if developed for current-gen hardware and either rebooted or adapt the original story for newer audiences. What was there was fantastic, concept-wise and the “bullet-time” was right their with Max Payne. Great series, definitely plenty angles to rebirth the it, and I’d happily pay my part to see it brought back.

Female involved in one “big” narrative = hope she makes spider-man trans… super intelligent thought provoking comment.
