I am not happy with the game at all right now. I am sorry I purchased it in it's current state. At this point I just hope some patching will improve some of the technical issues. I stopped playing till more patching occurs.
Could or will it? My guess is it will not.
For myself, I do find the politics they put in games off putting. Maybe things will get better at Bioware now that they don't have Manveer Heir. The studio should study CD Projekt. They seem to know how to make quality games.
Say what you want about people focusing on the bad. This was still a sub-par release for Bioware. I expected better polish from a company like Bioware. I own the game on PC but have suspended playing till additional patches are released. I'll return to the SP game later. I wish the dev team success in prioritizing their patches.
Is this EU only? If so please put in title.
People buy PS4 also because that is where their friends play now. Games, friends, and power of the console all count. But When the next PS is announced which matches or exceeds Scorpio Expect a continued onslaught of games for PS the next year and the next PS in 2019. At least Scorpio will be far better than what X1. Just everyone I know generally moved to PS a while ago so no need to go back.
Pretty historic wallet pain too. ;)
Game ordered. I love P4G on my Vita. I think P5 could even top that great game.
@moldybread I can only imagine the point of these articles is to create fanboy arguments from either "side". They are a waste of time for sure.
@Rimeskeem However unemployment does not measure people who have stopped looking for work. The rate is low but labor participation rate is also very low meaning many people just stopped looking. Also the rate you cite is not a record low. Of course Gamestop's business model has been under competitive threat for a long time. It's no surprise to me they'd close some stores. I suspect we'll see their traditional model of selling physical game media (used ro new) continue to chang...
I agree the pricey memory cards really diminished the sales of the Vita. I recently read that one of teh reasons Sony stuck with their pricey card rather than standard SD cards had something to do with concerns over piracy of games. One would have thought cheap standard cards would open up software sales on the PS Store. But oddly piracy was some major concern. Regardless, I'd like to see a new handheld from Sony.
I think human emotional reactions to games is not different today. However social networking is has lowered the bar for what was once considered improper social interaction. Civil discourse in gaming is dreadfully low. Hubris, excessive pride, immaturity , perceived anonymity, and lack of consequences are all traits that in person we would never deem acceptable.
Maybe MS will have more than 1 model. A base model at $499 and a premium at $599 or higher. Throw in larger SSD in higher end model or other upgrades. It's a game of expectations for MS. Teasing a higher price than people want but then actually coming in at lower price point. I wouldn't be surprised if it came in at $599. But who knows. At $299 it would seem like they are selling the product at a loss.
I like and support first party exclusives. I am not a big fan of third party timed exclusivity.
I am enjoying the game so far but do agree that a delay and fixing these obvious bugs would have been preferable. For those on the fence, I would not disagree that waiting a while to see if bugs are addressed is a reasonable position. Some bad decision making from a quality perspective were made. Sure wouldn't be surprised that financial pressures from EA led to this release. But Bioware should have executed better.
If you don't want to purchase the game then don't. Sure I'd like a 10 out of 10 score but of the criticisms I have read so far none of them deter me from playing the game. Might I be disappointed in some aspects? Maybe, but that is for me to find out.
yes will buy on pc.
Colin was interesting and talented. Shame he's leaving. His demeanor provided a nice balance. I probably won't watch too much of KF anymore.
Regardless if there is more to this, Greg Miller took the opportunity to use this as a vehicle to denounce his "friend". I guess with friends like that who needs enemies.
I don't think games are addictive in the same sense like a drug addiction, e.g. physiological addiction. But I do think gaming can be a compulsive addiction or habit. So it's more behavioral in that sense. Many people have compulsive behavior. Games may feed that psychological need for some. I don't think just playing a game(s) for an 'excessive' amount can make one addicted. You have to have the other compulsive attribute.
