That will not happen. My consoles are never offline. So being online has no significant impact for me. I guess many people don't have internet? That's surprising in this day and age.
I didn't realize you played the game already. Where?
This is true. Articles stirring the pot for clicks. I am hopeful that what BGS is trying to do with this installment of FO is interesting and provides fresh gameplay. As @Reaprr states, there is nothing to say a future SP installment of FO5 could not be released which is a more traditional SP game.
I found the NoClip documentary video on behind the scenes at BGS for FO76 pretty interesting. Maybe worth a watch.
I have no problem with Bethesda trying something different and taking risks. Seeing as I have not played it yet I can't really feel justified in complaining. But till I see actual gameplay and play myself I will be cautiously optimistic. I'm sure Bethesda knew they'd upset some people. Most people are afraid of change. And of course, as it is not called FO5, I suspect they could still release a traditional SP only FO game in the future.
Actually, with the marketing deal for RDR2 on Sony, I think there is more content for PS4. X1X is a suckers choice. You paid for an OG model then for another upgrade. You got taken.
I am confident that of the X1X owners they most all also own an OG X1. They basically paid $500 for the first OG model and another $500 for the X1X. And after all that money they still have mostly multiplats which are available on PS4. I own an OG X1 but have zero plans to upgrade to an X1X. I prefer to play multiplats on PS4 and of course an awesome first party lineup on it as well.
I didn't care for Sony's conference format but from an actual content perspective for the consoles, Sony easily won this hands down. MS still presents no compelling reason to switch from PS4 to X1.
EA's sales of BF5 will take a hit and more so because of their faux elitist response than the inclusion of a woman. It's a very lecturing response from them which turns many people off.
I think we're seeing Sony hold back as they are beginning a transition period development wise. First party studios beginning work on next gen PS5. Too early to announce or show anything. Show the games coming in the next 12-18 months. It's still a solid lineup coming with 1st and third party over the next 18 months. I did not care for the conference style at all though. It felt disjointed and for Sony, amateurish, with the venue and 4 commentators. But substance wise it was still g...
Agreed. I think it makes perfect sense that the world is not heavily populated. Robots and various creatures make sense given the timeline. I am cautiously optimistic. But I won't pre-order as I am happy to skip the beta and review some vids before making purchase decision this fall.
I wouldn't exactly call that list of studios an 'A' list. MS problems are deeper than their checkbook can fix. It's a culture problem. But every E3 they keep poking at the dwindling fire which is their customer base stoking the small flame. Guarantee we'll hear the same cast of characters say "this is the year MS turns it around". I've been hearing this for years now. Who really believes in MS anymore? They are a shadow of their former self.
MS will likely ruin any studio's creativity. They are not a creative force. Rather they are a business software company looking at trends and trying to capitalize. MS buying a new studio is like people who buy new houseplants. They look good or a short while but eventually those without a green thumb end up killing the plants.
What is the difference if the occasional player is human controlled or game AI? Is it really that different than running across an NPC in a traditional SP game? If anything it makes the challenge better. I think running across other players may not be constant anyway as the map is very large and only a relatively small number of players will be on map at the same time.
I thought the presentation was very good. I am interested and not upset it has an online requirement. That just doesn't bother me anymore. Looking forward to seeing more about FO76 and am cautiously optimistic.
I am intrigued. I would like to know more. Frankly my console is always online so being online for me is about the same as saying I keep the electricity on. I'm fine with Bethesda taking some risks. Maybe some people won't like the changes and that's their choice. I won't pre-order as I can just wait till November to see what the game is like before purchasing. But I am hopeful the game could be fun. Frankly, I enjoy co-op games and 'some' pvp. Bethesda did say it was ...
Look, it's so nice that XBox fans feel enthusiastic. Ra ra sis boom ba. At the end of the day it's just a marketing presentation whereby they preach to the choir. The diehards left in their camp needed something to feel good about. This isn't even a fair fight. Sony's creativity, track record, and future are beyond compare. For years we heard MS fans talk about 'cloud' power and games like SoT, Crackdown, Scalebound, etc. They just keep coming back for more marketing ...
I'd say every console needs to be 4k / 60 fps capable. If the game dev chooses not to for some reason that is their decision. But the console tech should not be the bottleneck.
There is little incentive for CDPR to sign timed exclusivity. MS would have to way overpay for that considering the money CDPR would be forging from PS4 owners. But do I think there could be some branding where it's shown on MS stage and their logo? Perhaps. Either way, they will still sell far more on PS4 than X1.
Let's not parse words here and give the guy a pass due to "lost in translation" errors. He was salty as hell and as a professional should have kept his twitter comments to himself. What professional purpose did he serve himself or his studio by commenting on ND's demo at E3? Would ND ever comment on his work in such fashion? It's amazing how "professionals" get their foot stuck in their mouth so frequently. I think it's plain to see he was salty and let h...
