Doubling down on GaaS was such an out of touch moment for Sony, doing the complete opposite of what made their consoles popular. Sony really needs to diversify their library again, I already hear of them considering doing something with their older, classic, IPs, which is a start.

I think they expected multiple failures, they only needed a few to succeed to rake in the big bucks. But there are already a lot of these games out there to the point of saturation, and trying to pull people away from other, popular GaaS games was going to be a big challenge.

Idk, I don't feel like they've learnt their lesson, in the case of Fairgame$, I suspect they'd release it if it's too far along to back out, at least try and make some money on it, if that's possible.

So Xbox almost died twice, this feels like karma for trying to swallow up the industry and strong arm Playstation/Nintendo out of the sector. Gamepass was the monster that Microsoft created and had to keep feeding, unfortunately for them, I don't think they realised how much this would cost, nor how long it would take to squeeze out their competition. They spent so much money in such a short period of time, they were never going to make a big enough return in the short term to cover the c...

I keep reading a lot of people are planning to jump from a 4090 to a 5090, which doesn't make sense to me, because you're probably not getting that big of a performance jump. I couldn't fathom wasting money like that, it looks like bad value to me.

I'm tempted to get either a 4080 Super or a 5080 Super when it releases, but realistically, I'll probably just continue to sit on my 1080 Ti.

Nvidia has always been shady, but they're really gimping their lower tiers on purpose to try and nudge people towards their higher tier cards, the 5090 is probably the best choice in the stack, but hardly anyone is willing to spend so much on a GPU just for gaming, it just sucks that most of the lower tiers feel like such a bad choice (mainly because of VRAM).

I would be prime target for top-tier GPU, but not at $4000 Aussie dollars, that's $500 more than the 4090. I'm considering a 80 card instead, probably a 4090 Super or a more likely, a 5080 super when it gets released (and hopefully with more VRAM).

Maybe if the game wasn't so bad, more people would have heard the music, I doubt many people have listened to the OST of the game, maybe I'll check it out and see if it's worth the nomination.

That's hilariously awesome, not that I'm a fan of Jar Jar, I just think it's funny you can play as him.

The first Dino Crisis is still fun, I've been playing it on my PS4, aside from the tank controls, I think it holds up well.

@Levii_92,
I hopes so do, I never played the 2nd one, and I only just played the first one recently.

I have zero excitement for another Resident Evil movie, I haven't even watched the last 2 or so movies.

I was expecting RE5 next, but I'm not going to complain about RE0, I've enjoyed all the remakes so far.

So they should, after the previous game's fiasco where they paywalled new game plus, I still can't believe they did that.

As long as the game isn't garbage, I don't mind putting in 100 hours, it's when the story/characters/gameplay are crap, or you have empty/lifeless open worlds. Off the top of my head, the last games I put 100 plus hours into were Persona 5 and Super Robot Wars 30th, both games were so fun that I just kept playing them.

I don't think they'res enough games to drive a faster VR adoption rate, most people who already own them are still going back to old favourites like Beat Saber and VR Chat. If those game don't appeal to people, then I think it'll be harder to encourage more people to buy VR sets.

I'm not interested in Indiana Jones myself, but I'm normally 2 years behind when it comes to playing AAA games, but I am starting to bump up against the 1080ti's VRAM limits, I can probably hold off a little longer if I have to (just lower the details a little). Hopefully, GPU prices will be a bit more reasonable in 2 or 3 years.

Especially on a 80 card, 16GB is still fine for the lower tiers, but the lower tiers are gimped with a lack of VRAM as well (12GB for a 5070? 8GB for a 5060?). If you consider anything below a 90 card from Nividia, you might as well just buy the AMD or Intel equivalent.

My PC is getting on in years too, I don't want to replace that 1080ti yet, especially with the price of GPUs, but I'll probably need that GPU upgrade within a few years. I think I'll replace my entire PC at the 10 year mark, or close enough to it.

12GB would just doom that card, games from more than a few years were already starting to use 12GB plus. This card isn't going to have many years of longevity before games start exceeding its 16GB limit.
