oh. wait...

i was having trouble with streaming Netflix on my PS3 a few months back also.

the movie would constantly pause to buffer, pause to buffer, pause to buffer. it was maddening.

i checked my internet speed, and it was really slow (like less than 1MBPS).

i thought my computer may be virused, and it was eating away at my speed. after running a few different virus scans and coming up clean, i called contacted my cable company.

since...

for BLIZZARD.

i hate to rain on anyone's smug parade, but the success of Starcraft 2 is only good for Blizzard (and Activision by extension). the hundreds of other PC developers out there are still ass out.

it's not like Blizzard or ATVI are going to be handing the other devs fat wads of cash just for "sticking in there, bro."

Blizzard is a lot like Valve. they are a rarity in the PC development community in that they've...

as much as i'm amazed by GT5, i'm not a big racing game fan, so i won't be buying GT5.

i AM a big comic book fan, and i need my superhero fix while i eagerly await inFAMOUS 2.

i'm not too big on the monthly fee for DCUO, but i did really enjoy what i played at E3, and if i get in the Beta, at least i'll be able to see more of the game and if it warrants a full on purchase in November.

not every game is meant for every game...

there are mediocre games on the other consoles that get praised to no end.

i bought Lair on day one. it wasn't a perfect game. if i were forced to give Lair a score, i'd rank it in the 7.8-8/10 grade.

why? because it did a lot more right than it did wrong.

firstly, the visuals are STILL excellent, even by todays standards. it had a visual aesthetic along the lines of Lord of the Rings that suit it well.

secondly, the ...

and i'm debating getting Hulu.

me and wife don't watch much TV, so we don't have cable, only Netflix.

considering that Netflix is $10 a month, and Hulu is $10 a month, that's only $20 a month for a significant amount of TV and film.

cable here in Los Angeles is anywhere from $80-$100 a month. i'd only be paying $20.

i'll probably end up getting Hulu, just for those times when nothing new is on Netflix ...

i almost miss PlayStation HOME. lol. i deleted it because i needed the HDD space (i still have to upgrade my hard drive from my original 60gig).

my wife would wander around HOME and get pestered by people, but nothing on the level of this guy. lol. i suppose blonds do have more fun (my wife's a brunette, as is her HOME avatar).

i wasn't sure how this story was going to turn out, i thought it was just a pathetic grab for hits, but it made me laugh out ...

shut the fuck up about the character design and actually start talking about awesome this game is shaping up to be.

i mean, god damn, EVERY FRICKING TOPIC concerning inFAMOUS 2 since it was revealed just devolved into people bitching about the redesign.

personally, i never thought Old Cole was anything to write home about, and if i recall, many people on this very site, and others like Neogaf, were very comfortable with calling inFAMOUS 1 Cole "generic&q...

when they announced the title, but at this price, Sucker Punch can just come to my house and take the money out of my wallet.

i'm putting off completing Sly 3 on my PS3 to just wait for the HD collection and replaying all 3 titles again.

Sucker Punch has been impressing me since the PS2 days, but i really think the inFAMOUS franchise is finally getting them the attention they've deserved for a long time now.

this Sly Cooper HD Collection is just a perfectly timed reminder of why they are one of the best developers of purely fun games, with some incredibly smooth, responsive ...

it's just as absurd and ridiculous as the previous titles.

i enjoy the Choose Your Own Adventure style game play, and the ugly graphics are charming.

if people can somehow love Deadly Premonition for being so bad, i don't see why they can't love WOTS3 for the same reason.

i love how people selectively choose their little "darlings" while not applying the same standards to other things that are incredibly similar. WOTS3 i...

i enjoyed what i played at E3 this year on the PS3, but i'm irked at the $15 a month.

for my family, it's not $15 a month, it's $30, because i'll be paying for me and my wife's subscriptions. that's $360 a year, meaning i miss out on 5 full priced games a year just to play DCU MMO.

from what i gathered at E3, the game already looks and feels way better than City of Heroes, which is an MMO i played for YEARS. it really seems like they a...

but i LOVE how game "journalism" these days just outright INSULTS their readers.

it's like this level of disdain they have for the very people that give them hits and keep their site ALIVE in the first place.

as for this "article," they won't get neither my click, nor the wasted time it would take to read it.

there was a time, not even 2 years ago, where they were calling us idiots for buying a PlayStation 3. we kn...

at E3 this year, but i'm extremely disappointed in the monthly fee.

maybe this beta will change my mind on it.

considering that i have to buy two copies of any games that i want to play with my wife, it's really hard for me to justify spending $120 on two copies of the game, and then $30 a month for a full year.

that's $360 a year i'll be paying just for the privilege of playing DCU Online with my wife. that means i'm mis...

but not because i don't find it a good deal. i'm just extremely strapped for cash while i settle into my new job and saving as much money as i can.

every week i see free content, or discounted content.

it doesn't matter if the game they are offering for free is a game i'd want or not. it's free. i can try it out at no risk to me, and who knows, i may be surprised at how good it is.

it's almost like the demo for Pixel J...

for one, the Pirates/Mercs started the conflict.

he's on a boat, and he got attacked.

if you have the means to defend yourself in a life or death situation, what would you do? sit there and let the Pirates/Merc pop a bullet into your brain?

Drake does what he can do to survive. if that means kill, then he does.

besides, he doesn't kill anyone in the Museum section. even the guy he pulls off the ledge that goes plummet...

but he skirted the line.

i think Tommy would probably be the worst.

Niko was pretty good too.

now the GTAIV DLC characters certainly fell in the dick category.

the side characters in GTA games were total douches, though.

that the Xbox 360 offers the best value for their money.

back in 2006, the PS3 was very much a $600 Blu Ray player that happened to play Resistance: Fall of Man.

in this day and age, the PS3 is a $300 Blu Ray player that happens to play some of the best and most technologically advanced console games in the world.

i won't be a PlayStation commercial and list all of the cool features that have been added to the console over the years, but ...

they were all about market share this generation.

everything they did, every check they wrote, was for market share.

they HAVE market share now. when was the last exclusive Microsoft bought?

what happened to exclusivity for franchises like Bioshock, Tales of Vesperia, Portal?

it doesn't matter to MS anymore, because they did what they set out to do: grab a larger chunk of the market than they had last generation.

besides, the Symbiote Suit is not a DIMENSION.

actually, it'd be pretty cool if the fourth dimension was the Spider-Man: Reign dimension. where Peter Parker is an old, disheveled, and retired Spider-Man, Mary Jane is dead, and most of his villains are also old, dead, or retired. then a Venom symbiote outbreak happens, and old Peter has to don the costume for one last time. it's very Dark Knight Returns.

i think the setting could be interesting.
