but maybe it's why they held off releasing it in the US and are making it a MOVE title?
maybe they realized that just relying on the camera, and no other input devices wasn't as feasible as having some sort of tangible method of interacting with the EyePet?
Microsoft is putting a lot of eggs in their Kinect basket.
with Sony, even if MOVE and 3D fail to take off, their core market, the one that has supported the PlayStation brand for ...
is completely ridiculous.
i'm a long time fan of the Final Fantasy series, and i thought XIII was a breath of fresh air in a series that has 12 other entries, and almost as many spin offs and hand held iterations.
XIII did a lot of things that should have been done in JRPGs in a long time, chief of which is a story that didn't follow the traditional JRPG template.
i don't see how people can say an RPG is all about story, and hate o...
i love WKC. i'm looking forward to the sequel, and now i'm looking forward to the PSP version!
i guess it's a three game series after all!
Sony has 19 first party studios, and 11 second party studios. all of them are working on exclusives, and some of them are even working on more than one project (ie, Insomniac working on TWO games).
this is something a lot of PlayStation fans (me included), have been saying since the PS3 launched in 2006.
since the PS2, Sony has really beefed up their stable of developers, and it's REALLY paying off this generation.
unlike the competition,...
in this video really, REALLY sucked.
the game looked great though. i love the improved animations and the more involved melee system.
the wait for this game just gets harder and harder.
but Sony's been backing up their statements with rock solid exclusive titles and consistently adding new features to what the PS3 offers consumers.
name me another console that has:
Blu Ray for games and movies
web browser
FREE Netflix (that is to say, i don't have to pay for a LIVE subscription to access the Netflix i ALREADY pay for)
19 1st party studios and 11 second party studios cranking away on exclusive titles for the pl...
on the site said that the game will now have a day/night cycle, instead of just changing when the story dictated it.
that's AWESOME.
i really enjoyed the look of the Historical District in inFAMOUS 1 when it was draped in fog and night time. very Gotham City.
much like the first inFAMOUS when it was revealed, this sequel is my most anticipated game of next year (along with The Last Guardian, of course).
as if i wasn't excited enough for inFAMOUS 2, this just sent it through the stratosphere.
it'll be nice to finally be able to get some inFAMOUS coverage without the poor attempts at the media to divert some attention towards Prototype. seriously, last year was so irritating reading article after article about inFAMOUS, only to have Prototype brought up. i recently brought inFAMOUS to work to show one of my co-workers who was considering picking it up for his PS3, and ...
why not get BOTH?
Sly Collection comes out THIS YEAR.
Sorcery sometime NEXT year.
i'm not sold on MOVE, but this title, Heroes on the Move, a new Ape Escape, and that survival horror game we've only seen glimpses of have me interested.
this game looks like it will be a hit with the younger crowd, and if the game play is fun, the older crowd also. i have my eyes on it's progress.
not everyone has completed the game...
i'm a HUGE fan of inFAMOUS (i platinumed the game, but still play it over and over again), and i didn't give a shit about the redesign of Cole.
his design in the first game was average at best, but it was the game play that had me hooked. personally, i thought Cole, Zeke, and Trish were assholes. i didn't connect with them in ANY WAY, what so ever. Sasha, Kessler, Alden, John, and Moya had more personality that the 3 protagonists.
the new Cole ne...
i can't help but chuckle at the time when people were so quick to throw out the "PS3 has no games" over and over and over and over again, and when the PlayStation fans pointed out that Sony had 19 first party, and 11 second party studios working on exclusive titles, and it was only a matter of time before those games started releasing, they were laughed at and ridiculed.
man oh man how things have changed. i have so many PS3 titles to look forward to i have to r...
-1 for not being a sequel to Prototype, the BESTEST GAME EVARRR!!!
sorry. i couldn't resist. the way the media tried to prop up Prototype against inFAMOUS was hilarious.
i don't get all the hate for Resistance 2, so i ignore it.
Insomniac is such a great developer, and they really put their hearts into their products.
A Crack in Time was the best Ratchet in the series, and i'm really interested in how this new title is going to turn out. it looks neat. more couch co-op games are always welcome in my house. my wife need more to play. we're currently playing Deathspank and Scott Pilgrim together, and having a blast....
i couldn't believe the epic meltdowns people were having over Cole's look in inFAMOUS 2.
hell, just last year, people said they hated the OLD Cole. he was "generic" and cookie cutter.
they change it, and people blew a gasket.
now they changed it back, so to speak, and of course, people are STILL bitching.
Insomniac and Sucker Punch have great respect for their fans, but in truth, they need to just ignore wha...
hell yes!
Cole is becoming more of a Jedi each day.
just ditch the tuning fork, and let him channel his energy into a fine beam like a lightsaber. lol.
Cole should be able to hover off the ground when using his Static Thrusters, instead of just using it to glide across the sky.
hovering high above enemies and lobbing attacks from them would be awesome.
maybe inFAMOUS 3...
but i've only purchased two Xbox 360 titles this year so far:
Mass Effect 2, and Alan Wake.
i plan on picking up Fable 3 and that's it.
Alan Wake was solid, and i enjoyed ME2 (i still have yet to beat it; i'm only a good 4 or 5 hours into the game), but i'm seriously beginning to question my purchase of a 360.
i'm not a fan of the Halo or Gears games. i refuse to pay for Xbox LIVE, and Microsoft's 1st ...
why don't we let JRPGs be JRPGs, and WRPGs be WRPGs.
personally, i love them BOTH.
i love the often quirky, extremely Japanese stories and characters seen in some of the best JRPGs (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI and IX, Rogue Galaxy, etc), but i also love the more D&D style of the WRPG, where you have a lot more control over how your character looks, but in truth, you're still being lead through someone elses story.
not all Wes...
Uncharted 2 across the board.
God of War 3 has scale, MLAA, and possibly lighting in it's favor. outside of Kratos, Hades, Hercules, Hermes, and some enemies, character models aren't too hot. Hera, Aphrodite, Zeus' beard, and some of the other gods just don't look as detailed as the four guys above.
even though the visuals are rather stunning, they are also seemingly inconsistent. for example, the Poseidon and Cronos fight look like film. othe...
how do you know WHAT their focus is on?
so far, we've seen some co-op game play.
we have NO idea what the story is, or what role it's going to play in the game. they didn't just throw Dr. Nefarious in there as a playable character for the hell of it.
considering that he was the big bad in A Crack in Time, i somehow doubt they're just going to gloss over why he's suddenly a TEAM MATE.
Insomniac is known for...
