of inFAMOUS when trying to call out the game for being ugly.
While there are certainly some areas of the game that suffer from spotty textures, why don't you post this:

or this:
later, and some idiots on the internet are still asking this question?
the real question is: is 6.5 gigs large enough for current gen games?
i think we all know the answer to that.
they didn't call it "Resistanc3".
a 3 is not an E. it's just not. please stop doing that game and film industry.
and if memory serves me correctly, many on the internet LOATHED Resistance: Fall of Man because it didn't compare to a certain game with Gears in the title (and i ain't referring to Metal Gears). i distinctly recall people saying that Resistance 1 was a typical, "generic" FPS ("generic" was a label applied to most PS3 titles back then by the embittered media), the color palette was "vomit" gray and brown, and the weapon wheel was a pain in the ass. also, ...
criticisms towards a universally praised game, suddenly you are deemed a hater.
for me, PERSONALLY, Mass Effect 1 is better than Mass Effect 2. i did like that Mass Effect 2 improved combat over ME1, but not at the cost of the RPG elements. i don't see why they had to strip down the RPG elements for part 2.
the story in ME2, in my opinion, IS weaker than the story in ME1. characters behaved VERY out of character (Kaiden and Liara stand out the most), and ...
linearly.
i mean, look at inFAMOUS. for an open world game, it was VERY linear unless you REALLY wanted to go off and do the side-missions. i tended to play through the main narrative first, then after beating the game, and having more powers, i did the side-missions, which are so much more humorous to play when you can hover and rail grind (especially the early "Satellite Uplink" missions, where you just have to run across a powerline or something. rail grinding a...
I have Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.
Mass Effect 1 = RPG in the same vein as Knights of the Old Republic (one of Bioware's BEST games)
Mass Effect 2 = 3rd person shooter in the same vein as Gears of War.
I enjoyed both Mass Effects, but ME2 REALLY disappointed me and my wife, who were annoyed that Bioware pulled a bait and switch with Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2.
The RPG elements are extremely scaled back to the poin...
if you go to the source link provided, Amazon.com has a really high quality picture of the peripheral and the L1 and L2 buttons are located on the side of the gun, just above the trigger.
this was my most anticipated game of this fall.
ah well. i'll be able to get a different game this holiday season then. my budget is super tight, and i could only afford Castlevania, Fallout: New Vegas, and Little Big Planet 2 (not including PSN titles and the Sly Collection, which don't run $60, so they are more in my gaming budget).
maybe i'll get Gran Turismo 5 after all (i'm not a huge racing game fan, but man, the quality of the GT serie...
King Bohan from Heavenly Sword certainly take my vote.
Also, Kain, from the Legacy of Kain series. Simon Templeton's delivery is always fantastic (in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune as well).

i've been following his work on deviantart for a long time now. he's really good. i just wish he did more original work instead of fan art. but that's sort of an issue with deviantart in general, actually.
every year on my PS3, but this year i held off, because i just KNEW we'd be getting an HD collection.
now that it's been confirmed, i'll just wait until next year, and play them both back to back.
they are truly both phenomenal games.
it really bums me out that titles like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Heavy Rain are so few and far between, whereas overdone military shooters are crammed down our throats on a monthly basis.
N4G, and the gaming community in general, is that mentality that if you happen to dislike a particular franchise/game, then you are automatically a fanboy of whatever system that franchise/game is NOT on.
i LOVED the original Halo. i loved everything about it. the graphics, the level design, the controls, the multi-player (me and the guys at Activision would stay after work until 6am playing Halo 16 player LAN matches).
i'm also a HUGE PlayStation fan. i&...
me and my wife use it ALL THE TIME.
we play games on it. we watch Netflix on it. we watch DVDs and Blu Rays on it. we listen to music on it. we sometimes even surf the web on it (i often check N4G from my browser when my wife is on the PC).
i can't say the same for my other gaming platforms like the 360, which i use 100% for games (i refuse to pay for LIVE, or else i'd use my 360 to watch Netflix too).
when my PS3 died on me back in 0...
line up on the PS3 compared to the 360 shows me EXACTLY what Sony has been spending their money on, and i'm GLAD that's what they're doing.
in the end, what matters to me as a gamer is the GAMES.
looking at the upcoming exclusive lineup of software for the PS3, i can't say i'm disappointed.
as a multi-console owner, i have to say that most of my game time has been spent on the PS3 this year. i bought Mass Effect 2, i bough...
jaded game reviewers who couldn't help but keep their bitterness that the PS3 was $600 out of the evaluation of it's games.
i think nearly every single Heavenly Sword review went like this: "the graphics are great, the story is great, the acting is great, the game play is rather good, but the game is short, and the PS3 is $600, and this one game doesn't justify the price of the console. never mind Resistance, Motorstorm, Virtua Fighter 5, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, ...
but i think Heavenly Sword looks better.

etc, are not up to Sony to produce, but the respective owners of the IP.
from Sony, i'd like to see
Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection (which i'm sure we'll see; Ueda and Sony have openly stated that this is more than a possibility)
Dark Cloud/Rogue Galaxy Collection
Mark of Kri/Rise of the Kasai Collection
Ghosthunter/Primal "Hidden Gems" Collection (seriously, these games were GREAT...
a game play video is NEVER as good as actually getting the game in your hands and trying it out for yourself.
a game play presentation, especially when a title is a year away, will never represent what the finished product will be.
All 4 One certainly looks like it's going to be different from previous entries in the series, which, according to the reviews of Tools of Destruction and A Crack In Time, the series apparently "desperately" needs (pe...
