i'm probably one of the biggest Spider-Man fans out there, and i give the game a 6.5, maybe a 7 on a good day.
i mean, come on, what Activision/Treyarch shill wrote this review?
the game is flawed on so many levels, and after playing, even in demo form, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and games like Resistance, Motorstorm, Crackdown, even Gears of War (which i'm not a fan of, but i digress), i think it's safe to say that Activision and Treyarch are, at least, 3 generations b...
but this is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.
you have to WRAP. YOUR. 360. IN. A. TOWEL.
it's absurd.
when i'm paying over $300 for ANYTHING, it better damn sure work.
my PS3 hasn't had any problems, though i've only owned it since late February. my roommate's PS3 hasn't had any problems, and he's owned his since launch day. his 360, on the other hand, which he's owned since late December, early January, crashes and freezes ...
my expectations were for the console to have a weak first 6 months (like ALL consoles do), then pick up steam around month 7, when developers start to release their high quality games for the holiday season.
though i admit that i've been pleasantly surprised with the PS3 games i have now. Resistance is a lot of fun, as is Motorstorm, VF5, and Oblivion.
there are too many more coming out in the next month and beyond to list, so i'm good.
only a fool...
i think you should change that to *FANBOYS.
see, i'm a huge Playstation fan, and i *LOVE Ubisoft, for the most part.
i've been a huge fan since Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Beyond Good and Evil, and i'm dying to play Assassin's Creed (on my PS3, of course, as i don't have a 360 YET).
generalizations are not only pointless, but 100% inaccurate!
if it's delayed, that's too bad for us MGS fans, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem for me personally:
Ninja Gaiden Sigma - THIS YEAR
Lair - THIS YEAR
Heavenly Sword - THIS YEAR
Warhawk - THIS YEAR
Folk's Soul - THIS YEAR
Eye of Judgement - THIS YEAR
Ratchet and Clank - THIS YEAR
Eight Days - THIS YEAR
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - THIS YEAR
not to mention Assassin's Creed, Mercenaries 2, Dar...
i was absolutely *CERTAIN that Dissidia would be released on the Nintendo DS (i dunno, Final Fantasy DiSsidia just rang as a Nintendo game for me).
i'm glad it's coming to my PSP however. that's a lot of Final Fantasy for the handheld this year. The FF 1 and 2 remakes, Crisis Core, and now Dissidia. i have a feeling that, possibly, Dragon Quest will be next, though not anytime in the next year, maybe late 2008.
now if only Konami would get on the ball and remake ...
seems to me that maybe Gamespot was being contrary for contraries sake.
the reviews are coming in, and they're quite glowing.
bottom line, the game is not a 6.7 or whatever it was they gave it.
i bought it last night, and it's lots of fun, and this is coming from a guy that is simply not a fan of online multi-player games. i played it briefly with one of my roommates last night, which was probably not the best thought out plan, as we were whooping...
you beat me to my joke, but i didn't see it in time!
anyway, at least we understand why HD porn isn't going to be as wonderful in practice as it seems on paper. lol
what is this, the 80's?
you don't have to be a single, hairy-palmed loser to watch porn.
me and my fiance both enjoy watching porn.
guys who actually *KNOW females are aware that, on average, they enjoy porn as much as males do, most of them just don't admit it readily (or to guys who they don't want to sleep with. hmmm, wonder why you didn't know this?).
anyway, i'm all for Blu Ray, but i don't see porn being as effective this time...
am i the only one that thought Saints Row on the 360 sucked? i mean, really, really sucked bad?
my roommate has a 360, and he rented it, and it was mediocre at best, yet a few notches above the True Crime series.
i enjoy Crackdown much more than Saints Row. i'm glad it's not coming to the PS3. i think GTAIV will be more than enough when it's released this October, as well as the Getaway, which i'm waiting to see if it'll address some it's predecessors issues.
<...
it's pretty fun, though i haven't played online, or with my fiance and roommate's yet (they're all at work!). i'm eager to see how it'll be with more players.
my PSN ID is, of course, Figboy
you wasted *TWO bubbles just to say the same bs twice?
+1 for using befoul, and for composing an excellent post.
i'm glad i ignored the first story when i stumbled across it today, and i hate to get involved in the flamewars, but i have to say that it warms my belly like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter's day to see the Mart owned like he was here.
there is only so much absurd, anti-Sony FUD that you can take, and he is the primary spewer of this nonsense. it's nice to see his word shoved right back up his pom...
considering that the gaming landscape would be *INCREDIBLY different if it wasn't for the success of the Playstation brand, i think it's understandable to be a bit grateful to Sony for entering the gaming industry.
also, they weren't always a huge corporate conglomerate (you gotta start somewhere), and i think, for them to have lasted 60 years is rather impressive.
i know you can't respond to me, due to that one bubble, so i only have this to say: HA HA.
didn't Sony turn 60 *LAST year? a little late, aren't we?
anyway, happy anniversary, Sony!
the PS3 rocks(or at least it will when more good games hit)!
there are three major cities in Assassin's Creed, plus the countryside in between. one is Jerusalem, the other is Damascus, and Acre, i think. each city has their own unique design aesthetic, the one with the blue tint has been said to be Acre.
personally, i like the blue tint, but design choices aside, this game looks to be awesome, and i still haven't lost my enthusiam over it since i first heard about it. it's just one more game on a seemingly eternal (and progressively more...
i can't believe a guy is getting this much sh*t over something he wrote in HIS PERSONAL BLOG!
imagine if someone got on your case and was trying to censor you on your myspace or livejournal page, or some other such personal blog site.
Jaffe is a human being like each and every one of us. he has a cool job, sure, but he's still human.
he should be allowed to say whatever the fvck he wants to say on his "property" (his own personal blog).
...
once again, i'm reminded *WHY i'm a proud PSP owner.
i'm constantly amazed at what this handheld can pull off. it really is like a tiny PS2 for your pocket (minus a second analog stick, but i can live with that).
why?
i thought people were free to discuss the games that have them excited?
the four games of this article have me excited, as well as the additional ones i listed. i was hoping others who actually like VIDEOGAMES and not consoles would also pipe in and share what titles they are looking forward to playing this year as well. my mistake.
let's talk about how much the >insert game console here< is sooooooo much more 7337 than >insert game ...
to btkadams:
at GDC, Phil Harrison said that Little Big Planet would first appear as a demo in late 2007, where users would be able to create and upload their own levels, and share them with folks, then, in early 2008, they'd release the title on Blu Ray.
he later hinted that the Blu Ray release would be more of a collection of the best user submitted levels.
so hey, we only have to wait a few months before we get our hands on this wonderful game. ...
