is that the GTAIV trailer doesn't really look HD.
i'm watching it on a 40" Samsung, LCD 720p, and it doesn't look as good as the *FIRST HD trailer released.
the content of the trailer, however, looks great. i'm getting more and more excited about this game the more i hear about it.
Super Stardust HD is definitely on the list, but i just The Darkness in from Gamefly, so i'm playing that (was playing my roommate's copy last night).
there's some really cool movies on the PS3 version.
like full versions of Flash Gordon, The Street Fighter, and To Kill A Mockingbird. not to mention various cartoons and music videos. only the PS3 version can fit the full length movies on the disc due to Blu Ray. it may not enhance the gameplay for some people, but it certainly makes the world feel more immersive and real. it was cool sitting on the couch, cuddling with Jackie's girl, Jenny, and watching To Kill A Mockingbird ...
you're entitled to your opinion, but you're still wrong.
why should i be forced to visit a thousand different sites to get my movie and gaming news?
like many people in this world, i don't have *THAT much time.
having a one-stop drop for this sort of thing is the epitome of convenience for me.
so you love digital distribution, good for you, but not everybody can afford a fast internet connection. even broadband.
so you...
i've said this before, and i'll say it again: THE PLAYSTATION 3 INCLUDES A BLU RAY PLAYER.
people that have purchased a Playstation 3, and visit this site, are aware (or *SHOULD be), that the PS3 plays Blu Ray movies, and thus, have a vested interest in Blu Ray related news, as well as gaming news, being as how their system does both.
some of us even peruse this very site *ON our PS3's *cough*me*cough*, just because it has that functionality.
judgi...
this is one of the games that was slowly pushing me to add a 360 to my collection to make nice-nice with my PS3.
while i'm not too upset that it may get delayed (lord knows there's plenty of games coming out this fall to warrant my attention), it's still disappointing.
ah well.
i also think it has a lot to do with the fact that there are millions of people out there that *STILL don't have a broadband internet connection.
it may seem cheap for you, but for others, that $50-70 a month could be too much.
on topic, this was a very interesting interview.
it was the same questions that Cory got, but i think Travis was a lot less vague, though equally smartass.
i imagine they were all contacted and told to be a li...
i'm a huge Playstation fan, but i found nothing inciteful, or even malicious in this story.
the guy even says that he hopes the others innovate some great ideas through competition that they, themselves, will eventually assimilate and offer to their users.
Home for the 360? if it's successful on the PS3, i wouldn't be surprised if MS offers a similar service for it's users.
we all know ingame cross-media bar access is coming to the PS3, as well as ...
the Warhawk Beta has been the most fun i've had in an online game since Resistance.
i'm going to miss it when it's gone, but the past few days have been awesome.
it was certainly a surprise when it appeared in my PS Store last Thursday, so i've been playing the hell out of it since then to get my money's worth until Monday.
thankfully, games like The Darkness and Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be out, and i'll be too busy enjoying those games until Warhaw...
"Waitstation..." where have i heard that before?
Halo 3 - September 07
Mass Effect - ain't out yet
Alan Wake- ain't out yet
Bioshock - you guessed it, ain't in stores
Fable 2 - hmmm could be it hasn't been released...hey, i was right!
and a whole slew of other great titles, most of them highly anticipated *STILL NOT OUT YET.
face it you obnoxious fanboys; all systems have games that we are still waiting feveris...
i really need to work for Insomniac. they're in Burbank, i believe, about an hour and a half drive from me here in Los Angeles.
maybe me and missus should move closer?
i worked at Obsidian Entertainment last year, and that's in Santa Ana, but the commute was killer (about the same hour and a half, two hours. on a *GOOD day).
every single year Insomniac is on this list. are the offices paved in gold or something? with candy drop rain falling all ove...
thanks!
that's too bad, i would have imported it then and there if it had that option. no problem, i'll just wait until it launches in October!
i never thought i'd be excited about an online only game.
i hate playing with nasally voiced kids who's balls haven't dropped yet, but damn if Warhawk isn't too much fun.
i'll most certainly pick it up when it drops, but i don't know if i'm going to get the PSN version, or the Blu Ray version (simply for the headset, as it's hard to turn down a useful item like that).
it seems like every week a new game is being added to my must have list.
...
if a story has been posted about this, but there have been new Warhawk Beta invites sent out yesterday.
i checked my account, and there it was! the game is a lot of fun (i don't like online gaming very much, but this game has converted me. i'm still hoping they'll release a single player version as DLC at some point, though), so if you signed up for the Warhawk Beta, check the PS Store, and see if there is a download option for the Beta.
is can the text be changed in game, like for Ninja Gaiden Sigma?
i certainly wouldn't want you to take the time to try and translate it for me! lol.
people are taking this comeback statement and either misinterpreting it, or taking it at too much of face value.
i mean, flash back a year ago to May, E3 2006.
remember those fateful words: "The Playstation 3 will retail at both $499 and $599."
and the gaming world nearly shat itself.
for nearly a full year, practically, Sony, and the Playstation 3 have been absolutely *CRUCIFIED, by the gaming public, and the gaming media....
last i checked, the Playstation 3 was called the "Playstation 3 *COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM"
what do computers do?
i could have sworn i could watch movies, play games, listen to music, and surf the net on a PC.
what was that? i can do those things on a Playstation 3? wow, so i guess it's not just a video game system afterall, now is it? interesting, that.
people, *STOP B*TCHING ABOUT THE BLU RAY AND MOVIE STORIES.
...
sounds great. i'm hooked on the demo for sure.
can you change the text to English, though?
i'm growing tired of the numerous people that b*tch and moan about Blu Ray news that gets posted on this site.
THE PS3 HAS A BLU RAY PLAYER BUILT INTO THE MACHINE!!
as the owner of a PS3, and the owner of an HDTV, i am *ALWAYS curious about Blu Ray news.
before i got my TV, i could care less about purchasing movies in HD. that has changed significantly, of course.
anyone who bought the PS3 for just is game-playing functionality is
...
thanks for the info, i'll have to look into it (since the store across the street from my house hasn't gotten it, or Ninja Gaiden Sigma yet).
can you give me a heads up when you get your copy, and let me know if you can change the text to English? that's the only thing that'd keep me from picking it up import.
i love that Sigma lets you change the text, i'm hoping Folk Souls does the same.
Suikoden 2. i have the original, but never got to the second. i hear it's awesome, and i loved the first one.
i already own MGS, and the FF's, and a bunch of other good ones, so something like Suikoden 2 would rock.
come on Konami, get on the ball!
also, a new iteration of MGS VR Missions would be awesome also as an updated PSN title with HD visuals. i'd pay $10 for that! hell, i'd probably pay $20.
i've been playing the original VR...
