GTA: Venice gets my vote :P

I know. It's a bit insane. Yet I've met plenty of people in-game and I know several guild members who have many more characters and much more time invested than me. That's how time sucking WoW is. Keep in mind that I've been playing it on and off since release though and I have a habit of leaving my character AFK while I go do some stuff, so the hours add up steadily over time that way.

Funny they should use the word addictive. I just noticed today that according to Steam, I'm pretty close to having 750 hours clocked in X3:Terran Conflict. That's pretty sick, but it doesn't beat the time I've spent in World of Warcraft. Looking at my main and alts... I'm guessing I'm at the 3000 hour mark and I don't even consider myself a hardcore WoW player O.o

What was the article about again? All I remember seeing on that site was a lot of delicious Japanese boobs and what not... oh my.

Yes... once you've touched a C-64, you're forever addicted. There is no going back.

Boubouille over at MMO Champion is saying december 7th. I honestly trust that guy a whole lot more than Amazon.

I tend to agree, but it depends on what you're looking for in an MMO.

If you just want to kill mobs and grind quests as quickly as possible to max level so that you can start raiding, the it's a -terrible- game. If you on the other hand enjoy complicated crafting and dabbling in multiple classes without going through a million alts, then this game might very well turn out to be great. That is... if you can stomach the weird unintuitive laggy UI and all the other quirk...

The "Pick best class: Uninstall Wizard" really cracked me up.

Why no mentioning of EVE Online?

Heh... it might be fun, but I honestly wouldn't call this a -simulator-.

So you're saying that they're only bad for normal people? That's awesome, because I have documentation from experts stating that I'm not normal, so I guess I don't have to worry then :D

I predict countless hours of my life being gobbled up by this one.

It's old. To make it even more funny, not all of the controllers in the article are fail. So it's basically a failed attempt at turning an old fail article about fails into news. Can we say fail^3?

I suppose if you're a console gamer and have a gamepad for your PC, then you'll be alright and not too bothered since you'll be more used to that kind of control scheme right from the start. If you're used to playing FFXI on the PC, then you'll most likely also be okay. However, if you're a PC gamer and expect to use mouse and keyboard in the way you're used to from other MMOs like WoW, LotRO, AoC etc., then you're most likely going to be frustrated and wonderi...

Regarding the FFXIV open beta. I came (after manually downloading the torrents), I saw and admired the gorgeous graphics, then I tried to use the UI, LOLed and left. That one is no longer on my list. Kinda funny since I have no trouble with games such as EVE online which is known for its clifftastic learning curve and quirky cumbersome UI with cascading menus and what not.

I love my Razer Naga. It's perfect for MMOs like World of Warcraft, LOTRO etc. At first I thought the 12 side button concept would never work as it just looks too extreme on the pictures, but I'm having no problem using them in reality. Combined with my Zboard Fang, I can have up to 48 hotbar buttons at my disposal by programming the 3 large thumb buttons on the fang to alt, shift and control. Since I use my thumb for that, it doesn't interfere with my ability to move with my othe...

I find it interesting that the article states “unable to function independently in usual daily activities such as getting up, getting dressed, bathing or communicating with family and friends.”, yet says nothing about being able to hold a job. If you can't do the above activities, then surely you can't hold a job either or if you do, not for long as few work places will tolerate a person who is late, unbathed AND naked. I mean.... seriously... I have mental and physical conditions tha...

I hate to say this, but swaying your body is not how you fly an aircraft. Use 3D technology to project a virtual cockpit and control column in front of my hands and we might start talking, but until then I'll take my joystick and yoke.

But yeah, there are other types of flying where this technology might be really awesome. There's paragliding I suppose and then there's... riding on a dragon doing jousting and sword fighting in the air. That could be so awesome ove...
