Feeling tired? Got to stay awake?

No problem!

Spastic zombie spiders now coming to all popular first person shooters near you.

Because sleep is overrated.

Meh... Crap happens. Nobody is perfect. When you are tired, overloaded and things get chaotic, it's easy to unintentionally end up behaving like an a**hole or completely misunderstand someone and thing they're the one being an a**hole.

This is something that happens *all* the time *all* over the world. It's just suddenly big news because they're gaming celebrities broadcasting their daily s*** to the rest of the world.

The lesson to be learned...

It's a shame that so many people here seem to have lost the ability to read. The article clearly states PC ***EXCLUSIVE*** of the year. That unfortunately rules out both Skyrim and The Witcher 2.

I do agree though that both are much more suitable GOTY candidates in general, but when the vote is for PC exclusives, then that's the way it is. The fact that we are then left with Shogun 2 just shows how few noteworthy PC exclusives we have left. Shogun 2 is good and I'...

What an awesome way to recreate a lost piece of history.

I read through a quarter of that article. Then it struck me - do I really want to continue reading all of that or should I just fire Skyrim and play?

Yup, UI could have been better, but it's not ruining the game for me and I've had no other issues so far (15 hours in), so back to playing some more.

Save/Reload. Life would be so much better if we could save before making an important decision, then reload a couple of minutes later if it turned out to be a bad one :)

Skyrim hasn't been successfully pirated on the PC yet and most likely won't be until after release because it's using Steamworks as DRM. It has been pirated and out on the Xbox for several days though.

Buuu huuu... cry me a river. What a waste of time that article was. None of those reasons are even close to making me reconsider my pre-order.

No major update? I see plenty of updates. Dual wielding, dragons, shouts, AI/quests, classless system, crafting. That's more than what you get in most sequels these days.

Lack of PC support? Sure, it could be better, but it's not completely lacking. Mods alone will ensure that I can get much more out of the gam...

Since they have been talking about how they've improved stealth and bow useage, I'm going to try a thief/ranger like character with some utility magic throw into the mix. I'll probably go for Khajit since that race seems to fit well with the thief/ranger theme and looks pretty badass in Skyrim.

Just have to wait a little longer... man... those last couple of days are going to feel like forever.

Back in the day (80's & 90's), I would buy games *because* of the manual. Some games were just too hard to figure out without the manual. They were in a sense DRM. DRM in a good way, since the manual often had other cool stuff than just the instructions on how to play the game.

Quote from one of the linked articles:

---Begin Quote---
“Our focus is not on preventing piracy, but rather on creating an online experience that’s so compelling for people that they aren’t thinking about pirating the game because they want to be part of this community and they see value in having this community, almost as if this vibrant community is a bullet point you would put on the back of the box as a feature,” he told Eurogamer.

I'm normally not into shooters at all. They tend to bore me to death. I lasted 10 minutes in the Crysis 2 demo before I uninstalled that. It was only out of sheer curiosity that I downloaded the Space Marine demo yesterday because I'm big into the WH40K thing.

Well, I've already played through the demo several times and now looking forward to the full release. Charging into the ork horde with bolter blazing and chainsword roaring is just damn fun, crazy and addic...

My OCed GTX 460 is doing fine. Don't expect to upgrade that until very late 2012 at the earliest. Ivy Bridge is the next major upgrade I'm aiming for. Hopefully I can OC that baby to 5+GHz since people are already doing that with Sandy Bridge CPUs. Yes, I need that much CPU power to run FSX smoothly with all the addons and what not. Sick, eh?

He says that his review unit has a 2.2GHz i7 CPU, yet he was unable to find anything over the course of 2 weeks that could slow the system down at max settings? Then I'm afraid he didn't try hard enough.

Well!!!

When they're going to charge a whooping $150 for it, then I think it's actually nice that it *doesn't* come with any in-game items. That makes it completely optional since you won't end up feeling compelled to buy it because of some in-game bonus trinket.

I really don't have a need for those items and I'd rather spend the cash on some actual tabletop roleplaying books or Warhammer miniatures which have more use to me (and those...

I've heard about the "death by sitting" issue before, but not in relation to gaming. Think trans-oceanic flights. You squeeze into one of those much-too-small economy seats and sit there for 8+ hours like a sardine in a can, then get up once the plane has landed and suddenly... BAM.

The thing is, between take-off, landing, turbulence, disturbing the passengers next to you because you almost have to crawl over them and the limited isle space, a lot of people just...

It's possible to play EVE for free. You can buy game time in the game (PLEX) with in-game money (ISK). This is perfectly legal and has been set up that way by the developers (CCP). I'm running 3 accounts at the moment and not paying anything for it :)

Now, as a new player, don't expect to pull this stunt off right away even though it is technically possible... but say... 3 months +/- some depending on how dedicated you are, how quickly you learn and most important...

This kind of mod has been around for a while. From what I understand, it does work even though it looks crazy. However, you can't dump your HDDs into the mineral oil, so you need to keep those external. Also, if I remember correctly, CPU and GPU fans may have trouble operating with the added drag from the oil and you do need some sort of oil flow over those critical components in order to keep them from overheating.
