I'm eagerly awaiting Lawn Mower Simulator 2011 with real time dynamic grass growth. Going to be awesome to watch.
I can't watch the video on my system for some reason and I'm getting the impression that the whole thing is a fake.
Anyway... I'll just go along with the assumption, real or not, that we're talking about a person who has become so addicted to WoW that his relationship with his girlfriend suffered as a result, to the point where she deleted his characters.
WoW can be quite addictive under the right circumstances. When you're feeling like a ...
Looks good. Just wish things would move a little bit faster in the flight sim genre.
I only recognize Doom Marine and Duke Nukem on that list. Tells you just about when I stopped playing such games.
Now, a top 10 most badass MMO bosses/NPCs would be interesting.
Looking at the screenshots, I can sorta see why people who are not familiar with Civilization in general could mistake it for an RTS. That just shows how far the game has progressed since what is shown here -> http://www.civfanatics.com/...
Not WTF. Try FTW :)
Basically, I think the hexagons are perfect for giving it that oldschool boardgame feel. The UI style seems to reinforced that IMHO. Of course, in order to really appreciate it, I guess one has to be into that stuff to begin with.
That interview is nice, but it has been posted a million times by now.
Heh, and it'll probably turn out to be not all that great in the end.
Yawn... anyway, wake me up when there's any news on the Direct Neural Interface jack. That'll be the controller to rule them all.
I agree. Steam has been good to me so far and has actually turned me away from the path of piracy. Not because of the DRM making things impossible for me though. I can still get an illegal copy of whatever I desire if I put my mind to it. No, it's simply because of the convenience, features and great offers that Steam brings. I feel rewarded when I buy something on Steam rather than punished. That's frankly the best way to go about DRM IMHO. It makes me want to come back. Ubisoft need...
There are many games that I dislike or simply don't give a damn about. There's only one game however, that I truly hate. Star Wars Galaxies NGE. It killed everything that I like about SWG with no possibility to go back.
I think Pedobear looks yiffy...
So... any chance? Maybe we could chase some cubs, puppies and kittens together?
There was recently a similar case in Denmark where I live. It was just WoW instead of CoD. I guess that makes danes as stupid as americans. Personally, I blame humanity. In the end, we're all equally f*cked up... although I pride myself at being sligthly more f*cked up than the average :D
I've been told that the collector's edition comes on a cartridge. No load time. Pure win!
This is why I don't bother with such games. My budget is limited and I got a lot of time to kill. A game that lasts me little over a weekend is just not worth it. It's not even worth the hassle of pirating to be honest.
So I stick with games such as Civilization, X3 Terran Conflict, Oblivion, The Total War series, flight simulators in general etc because of the longevity they provide.
This is also why I consider MMOs to be great value for money despit...
I'm looking forward to playing this on my Philips Videopac G7000 (Magnavox Odyssey²). It's the first and only console I've ever owned.
What's more useless? The useless article complaining or the people posting useless complaints about the useless article of complaint? See the irony in that? :)
On a more constructive note, I recently had what appears to be the same issue. I went to the Steam forum, spent 5 minutes looking for suggestions, deleted (after making a backup) a file named ClientRegistry.blob in the Steam folder and the problem was solved. If only more people would take a deep breath and check u...
I'm way over the recommended in terms of CPU and RAM. My factory OCed core 216 GeForce 260GTX is also fairly close to the 280GTX in performance, but it matters not since I'm planning on upgrading that at the end of the year anyway.
But what's up with this: "Pheripherals: 10 buttons pad (Xbox 360 controller or Logitech Dual-Action)"???
Does that mean you -have- to use a controller like the ones listed? What if you have a nice racing wheel...
The game is solid in its design and wellpolished, unlike the majority of MMOs out there. Whether it's crap or not is purely a matter of taste and which aspects mean more to you.
If you're heavily into raiding, competitive PvP, flashy graphics or crazy high-fantasy worlds with fireball farting undead mechanical demons everywhere, then yeah - I might seem like a cheap crappy low-content WoW clone.
On the other hand, it has a beautiful world that makes s...
"Ah, Another visitor! Stay Awhile… stay FOREVER!" - Impossible Mission.
Was surprised to see X3:TC on the list. Nobody ever mentions it. But it's certainly worth playing if you're into flying both small and huge spaceships while creating your own galactic empire. When fully modded, the game turns from great to pure awesome. According to Steam, I have some 550 hours logged in X3:TC. That's... crazy... and I still feel like a n00b in plenty of aspects of the game.
So yeah, if you want a game that'll steal your life away and take ple...
