*Yawn*
It was buggy and the frame rate was bad, but outside of one or two moments, it was playable and had a pretty good main story.
I would like to see the frame rate locked in a set rate and the AI tweaked for different play styles. Also, let’s get Johnny Silverhand’s pistol out of Jackie’s head. That big was probably the most irritating for me personally.
Let’s be honest. The DLC was probably already finished before release. Most studios plan this stuff in advance.
I do think they should get it to play functionally before adding content to it though.
The problem is that a lot of people are looking at the broken promises as part of the patching process. I think we have to accept that this game will probably never have a great AI or realistic driving sim, but I do think that a fixed frame rate with fewer bugs would make the game a pretty good experience for most people.
I agree that it need to be fixed on current Gen systems before they start asking us to pay for DLC. I personally think they should make one of the paid DLC a free upgrade to go along with their last big patch.
I would be perfectly fine with them making some of the paid DLC free to try and win back players, but I am willing to pay for DLC if it is of a high quality.
Blood and Wine and Far Harbor were both really excellent DLCs for games that each had buggy launches.
Geez, just spoil the whole thing with your title why don’t ya.
God, I hope EA thinks about all the money they wasted on Bioware before they purchase their next studio. All the talented devs are just going to jump ship when EA forces them to make Live Service trash.
Yes please. I know this game is very controversial and for good reason, but I did enjoy the experience very much. I just want them to fix it and drop in some quality side quests. Hopefully, this is a sign that we have some good stuff on the horizon.
And to think, all Phil had to do to "win" was use the massive resources of one of the world's largest corporations to buy up all the popular publishers and give everything away for peanuts in a desperate effort to drown out the competition.
And the results are obvious. The Japanese market responded... by buying the Nintendo Switch in droves and continuing to pay 60 dollars per game to have nothing to do with XBOX.
What an inspiration this ...
Seriously, do you guys work for Microsoft or something? Some of the stuff you guys bring up is just strange. Why are you bringing up Flight Simulator, The Medium and Octopath Traveler? It sounds like you are just listing off stuff on a check list.
Got to mention that Quick Resume that literally no one seems to care about too, I see. Could you perhaps tell us about how the pro controller helps with your carpal tunnel or whatever?
What are they releasing exactly? Halo? I can play the good Halo games on my ten year old PC.
By what metric is 18 million in 3 years a good number. If Game Pass basically "gives away" the vast majority of games for "free" you would think it would have many more subscribers at this point. Nintendo has sold its platform (i.e. the Switch) for 300 dollars a pop for a little over 3 years now and they have shipped 80 million units. Nintendo isn't giving away anything, so why are people adopting it so much faster?
And..... that's exactly why I hate Game Pass. It's there to condition the consumer to buy microtransactions. Now, let's all sit back and watch Microsoft ruin every Obsidian, InXile and Bethesda RPG with Live Service nonsense.
At least we still have BioWar... oh, I made myself sad.
Easy to do when they haven't released any next gen exclusives yet.
@Onilink Yeah. I didn't mean to post this as a reply to your comment. Sorry about that.
Man. They really are getting good at this concept art. One day there may even be a cgi trailer with three seconds of walking so they can call it a gameplay trailer. That’s probably still at least 20 years away though.
Yeah. I remember going back to Skyrim after putting a few solid weeks into the Witcher 3 and it just wasn’t quite the same.
As critical as I am of Game Pass,
I can’t argue with your point here.
As a PlayStation fan I honestly hope Microsoft is improving. Instead of worrying about the loss of Bethesda games let’s see Sony give us some brand new alternatives to better compete with the new Microsoft portfolio.
RE3 Remake was always going to be lackluster. It was a remake of a lackluster game.
