High Speed isn't really necessary for Bethesda games. Maybe for ID and Arkane. I can't imagine that anything made on that god awful Creation engine would struggle to work on a GTX 780.

As long as I can at least purchase the games on PC, I am happy. Microsoft has to do what it can to stay competitive with Sony. The second I actually have to subscribe to GamePass, I'm out. I don't like being bullied into something I don't personally approve of. I can live without Bethesda RPGs but losing Obsidian will hurt.

I guess in about ten years or so most of the talented Devs that work for these company's will have jumped ship. This seems to be why Mi...

Sony already has quite a few first party exclusives. Microsoft basically had to buy a major publisher because it apparently forgot how to make first party games last gen.

What I would like to see is Sony respond by working on competing IP. Let's get a big budget western RPG out of Sony that can compete with Bethesda and Obsidian. Everyone wins when competition is healthy.

Microsoft will have to work harder and produce better games to compete with So...

What’s hilarious is that all of the games are available everywhere else. I’m sure there will be some real content in a year of two though.

They always do.

This game just feels a little off to me. I suspect that it will be another looter shooter that quickly dies off (if it even gets a player base to begin with). After Avengers and Anthem, I think the market is just tired of all this Destiny clone nonsense.

Wouldn't you say that A New Tales of Arise trailer has... arisen? I'll let myself out.

I don't think it's remakes that are the problem. The problem is the industry's over-reliance on franchises. It would be quite dull if all we ever see again is Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Warcraft, etc... We need good developers to occasionally take risks.

We also see limitations imposed on storytelling when a publisher has to leave room for a sequel. While I did like Last of Us 2, I thought it would have sent a more powerful message to let the player chose how...

@anast Sounds like Rose colored glasses to me. Morrowind was basically their first hit. By your standards the studio is what? A one hit wonder?

Morrowind is more like a crpg of the late 90s, but it is hardly the perfection of Bethesda’s open world/immersive sim formula.

But let’s be honest, you didn’t play any of these games. You referenced Fallout 1/2 and those games weren’t even made by Bethesda. You’re just arguing to make some kind of misguided poi...

You are stretching the truth here quite a bit. Morrowind was there first break out hit. After that, oblivion and Fallout 3. Even if you want to argue that Skyrim is overrated, they have three huge hits before their decline. I’d say it started in 2015.

Why are people so defensive about this? Remake was a good game, but it was marred by some awful plot devices. There is nothing wrong with wanting to see the next installment live up to the original a little more. Nothing wrong with criticism. If Part one is an 8/10 let’s get Part Two to be a 9/10.

Can't say I disagree with you. This has been Square's MO for years now. Chop it up into pieces, spread it over multiple editions, sell dlc and upgrades in-between. They ruined whatever potential FFXV had with that crap and they seem to be doing it very aggressively here.

They ultimately have a good thing going with Remake, but I just know that one of these sequels will mess it all up. Hell, they teased a Dirge of Cerberus villain in the Yuffie DLC and that game was...

A. It was garbage and should have been put to rest in 2019. The only thing I’m complaining about now is the two years of lying about a massive update. That probably had a lot more to do with EA then BioWare.

B. Other companies don’t deserve a pass for behavior like this either, it’s just that EA is a trend setter in this regard.

C. Complaining about terrible business practices isn’t toxic. The only way they ever stop doing this is if we stop giving them m...

Of course. They never even tried to fix it. Just wanted to milk the suckers who stuck with of every nickel and dime. Guys, I know you all love mass effect, but please. Don’t give these scumbags anymore of your money. If you have to get the legendary edition get it used.

If they developing Silent hill then what was the point of The Medium? I guess Bloober would do better than a Homecoming or DownPour, but this really doesn't inspire confidence if its true.

It's pretty good once you get past the bugs. Beats the hell out of Fallout 76 and Anthem at any rate. Can't wait for some DLC. CDPR effed up this time but they haven't lost my support yet. Everyone gets one Freebie. Now BioWare and Bethesda on the other hand, they got to earn my trust back at this point.

Allowing Starfield to be a timed exclusive would be a strange strategy for Microsoft. Let's say it releases a year from now. It goes on sale and then Sony gets it six months to a year later. Wouldn't everyone buying their new consoles just assume that Bethesda games would continue to be multiplat? I would think that the whole point of this acquisition is to sell more XBOXs.

I know, I know, many of you theorize that the Bethesda deal had more to do with promoting Ga...

That's not what I said Captain Hyperbole. I could easily be satisfied with a reveal announced two, three, maybe even four nights before its release... if it had a name.

1943d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

It looks good, but Square really needs to stop announcing games so early that they don't even have a title yet. They said 2022, but I bet its more like two whole years away.
