Exactly. And both of these games do something unique with the new hardware. Everyone is just latching on to God of War because they consider it a pivotal Sony franchise. It's not, really. It has a history and is identifiable but before the last soft reboot, everyone was sleeping on it. Go look at comment threads from before the game's release to see my point.

These critics seem to think Sony is just the God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo company. I guess it...

It's hilarious to see these pieces now, literally days before Sony drops a game which was clearly designed to only use the new hardware.

Funny how the dozen or so Xbox fanboys around here seem to be getting all charged up at this supposed lie. I guess they go tired of playing that Medium game a few months back so now they feel the need to explain to us why the wave of first party titles we are getting this year is a bad thing /s.

Sony has hit the ground running with several good PS5 exclusives that show off the console's dual sense controller and lightning fast SSD. This is the best launch lineup Sony ha...

I have to say that find this particular discussion a bit more interesting than the usual Sony vs Xbox fanboy comment threads. As a Sony fan, I do like the idea of supporting PC in the long run, but I do understand why some fans are reacting negatively to it. I think it is a little more nuanced than @TheRealTedCruz's suggestion that Sony fans just want to own their own exclusive box.

For a while now, I have seen the argument that console gaming should become a thing of ...

I played on a GTX 1650 and it was fine. Some bugs but better than some other releases I’ve seen in recent memory.

Those pics for the base ps4 though. They should have never tried for Cross Gen.

I am glad to see the standard version doing well, but I do think that the digital version is in short supply. I am pretty sure that the main reason it even exists at all is the undercut XBOX on pricing. You can a PS5 for a hundred dollars cheaper if you go all digital and its the same next gen console sans disc drive. I am betting that Sony is losing quite a bit of money right now on those 400 dollar versions.

@Levii_92 Insulting his attention span is an overreaction. He is just expressing an opinion which is unfortunately controversial due to the universal praise this game always receives.

I also felt like BOTW was a bit overrated. I played the whole thing and didn't hate it, but it just felt like an Ubisoft sandbox with a pretty Zelda skin on top. Obviously a lot of people really liked it so I wouldn't call it a bad game, but the way reviewers gushed over it as being r...

All it takes is a budget PC. I love Obsidian and Bethesda but these devs aren't really competent enough to feature things like Ray tracing and 4K HDR support. I imagine a GTX780 will be able to handle everything up the Elder Scrolls 6.

Josh Sawyer is still there. Chris Avellone is not though and for good reason. Tim Kane is a great lead designer, but it seems like his writing is a little bland without the help of these other guys.

Honestly, as a Sony fan this is the only acquisition that actually hurts. These guys always did have talent. I'm sure those always online looter shooters they will have to pump out now will be just a bit edgier than Bethesda's.

The Outer Worlds is Obsidian, a good developer that will be completely ruined by Microsoft's business model. As for Bethesda, that company earned its hate well before the acquisition. It's just sad to see some people deluding themselves into thinking Microsoft can fix that dumpster fire.

I have a PlayStation and Switch and I have never used either of them to play online. I play games to escape from the world, not socialize. I have a social life for that.

I do realize that my way of playing isn't the only way. Most gamers want to play online and that is fine. However, everyone should have the option to play however they like.

Or they live in an area with inconsistent internet coverage. Rural areas aren't always well supported. Hell, I live in a major city, but the ISPs hold monopoly like power over the region. I recently lost service for two days with no explanation and no refund. I do not have any alternatives for high speed internet. I got through it though... by playing Demon Souls offline on my brand new PS5.

Yeah. Your comment is the definition of false equivalence. The people on this forum are concerned that they will lose the ability to license products in the way that they are accustomed to. If a game is permanently tied to the internet, you lose the option to play it offline. You are equating that with the actual of ownership of the IP. I can't think of a better example of False Equivalence.

I know right. That poor underdog... Microsoft. You Xbox guys are hilarious.

@rakentaja You're getting downvotes because you don't know what you're talking about. For one, Sony has excellent support for expandable SSD storage, both internal and external. Last I checked, all Xbox allowed was their own proprietary storage upgrades, which cost too much and don't work very well. Sony allows you to add NVMe SSD's produced by other manufacturers.

Don't worry so much. Microsoft's entire business model is to attract the "ge...

Comparing this release to the Witcher 3 is problematic. Witcher 3 was buggy but not this buggy and, more importantly, Witcher 3 launched with all of the features it has now. CyberPunk is a great core experience, but it is still missing a lot of the features it needs to work as an immersive open world.

If the devs can find a way to add back even some of the features (improved AI, optional BDs, better driving mechanics, meaningful body augments, etc... ) within the next year...

Not a loser, just a Microsoft employee. Hell, he probably gets paid quite well. I'd have to be getting close to six figures to shovel what he's shoveling.

I actually think that if they made the approach to the crucible just like the invasion of the collector base everyone would have been more impressed with the endings. SLIGHT SPOILERS: Basically, give every character a task. If Wreav is commanding a ship instead of Wrex, the Normandy takes damage and you lose a crew member. Or if the Geth are there as reinforcements instead of the Quarians, have the Normandy's shuttle get shot down and lose a crew member.

Hell, a modder...

Does anyone else find the changes they made to everyone's eyes a little off putting? They added glossiness but now they almost seem too glossy. It's not a major issue, but it does effect my enjoyment of the cut scenes a bit.
