I don’t see how Steam could go with either of these consoles unless an acquisition takes place. Both of them are in direct competition with Steam. I could see either Sony or Xbox paying a premium to get something like Half-life Alyx on their storefront.
These exclusive titles will all be available by the time Starfield theoretically releases:
Demons Souls
Returnal
Ratchet and Clank
Stray
Little Devil Inside
Kena Bridge of Spirits
Horizon Forbidden West
I will leave the smaller titles out of the discussion for now since I am sure both consoles will collect a healthy list of exclusive indies in time. I am trying to give a conservative estimate of what their resp...
@CDbiggen Sorry to see all the downvotes, but you have to remember that you are in a forum for console fanboys. Most of these guys make flat earthers look like socialists. And yes, these guys are every bit as smart and secure as you can imagine (Watch. I'm not going to use the irony punctuation and half of them won't get it).
@Orchard I have been coming here for years but until today, I had never seen the perfect comment. Thank you.
Microsoft wants to end the console business. That's why they created XBOX in the first place. Destroy the competition and get everyone to migrate to Windows. They just haven't been all the successful. Game Pass will probably do it eventually.
Ugh. "combat heavy" is exactly what I was afraid of. I know everyone loved RE4 and I don't think it was a bad game, but I hated the new direction the series went in. RE7 and RE2MAKE seemed to right the ship and now with this game and RE3MAKE we seem to be going back in the direction of action game again. Why can't we just have the survival horror franchise be survival horror?
@MehmetAlperTR we shouldn’t just accuse every negative review to be clickbait. We need reviewers to actually be objective. Now if it reads like the author is full of it let him have it for that reason.
@spicelicka “if you can’t understand that then you don’t deserve video games”
What a neck beard thing to say. This guy needs to take ten minutes away from a bright screen.
If you think about it, Sekiro was 2019, so it hasn't been that long between releases. Even if it releases in late 2022, they have followed a standard three year release schedule. It is hard not to think that George RR Martin had something to do with the delays that have occurred just because of his reputation. Miyazaki has always rolled these games out so fast, we take for granted what a regular release cycle looks like.
Adam Badowski gave me 10,000 dollars to try the game. I then refunded it and got the sixty dollars from Sony.
Whenever a company in this industry says "engagement" i throw up in my mouth a little.
No Roche, No Garrus, No Varric, No Dogmeat. At least Solaire made the cut.
You mean the PC game that released on PC first and that's currently on PC. It's easy to preserve your legacy when that legacy consists of half a dozen mediocre franchises at most. My TI-86 calculator from 1990 still plays Asteroids too. I suppose we should all praise Texas Instruments for acting as curators of video game history.
I know. Get rid of the crap and all you have is that Ori game.
Alright! Can't wait to see the cheap mobile titles they roll out! I bet Konami finds a way to make them even worse than Contra.
They can scale back server support to accommodate the smaller audience. Eventually the cost would become negligible. It would probably be even cheaper to have full backwards compatibility with everything in one store.
The hope is that he at least changes his tone about legacy titles. I'm not going to expect a completely backwards compatible PS5, but it would be nice to know that the upper management at least understands what makes Sony great in the first place.
Well, it was a little concerning they did it in the first place, but it says something when they listen. This situation reminds me a lot of the Game Pass Ultimate situation from a few months back. Now if only Nintendo would cut the Disney vault nonsense and put Mario 3d All Stars back up for sale.
Days Gone 2 had plenty of support. It sold well, but didn't receive critical acclaim. The sequel wasn't greenlit because Sony didn't like the pitch. Quality Control is an important thing that Sony and Nintendo do. It ensures that you don't end up with first party exclusives that look like Crackdown 3 or Halo Infinite.
