That’s like saying the Cowboys need to dump Jerry Jones. It ain’t happening.
Exactly. I just don’t understand people who hate on a review that doesn’t give a game a perfect score.
Those reviewers usually drive the industry to do better, well maybe not EA, but just about everyone else.
Most of the negative reviews seem to relate to bugginess. It’s sounds like it is still a very well-crafted rpg that just needs a few patches. That’s not that surprising really since no one was letting them get away with Crunch this time round.
I will concede that it is far more deserving of a nomination than some on that list.
I would have to agree with you. I am very firmly in camp Sony, but whenever I have posted an opinion that falls somewhere in the middle of everyone’s expectations I get a lot of downvotes for it.
Like if I say the Last of Us 2 is good but not great, both sides eat me alive and say I’m trolling. It’s just my honest opinion on the matter.
The Downvotes don’t really matter to me, but I do wonder if I ever actually get my point across to anyone in those mom...
I agree that the nominees aren’t particularly strong this year, but Nioh 2 is not GOTY material. Most of what makes it a good title can be found in Nioh 1, it is not revolutionary. If anything, I’d say it was a step back for the series. It’s not bad but not great either.
That's right. There's Destiny, Fortnite.... The Division...I think that one did well....Fallout 76 is still a thing that some morons play... were any of the others successful enough to "set a company up for years to come"?
It's so true. Maybe they could crap out 3-4 hour single player episodes Telltale style. Everyone loves that garbage.
I'm torn on this one. I did like The Last of Us 2 a lot, but I don't think it's game of the year good. There is undeniable quality that went into the production of this game and I like the fact that ND was willing to take risks with the plot. However, the story tried to dictate how I should feel and that's just lazy writing no matter how you look at it.
Druckman was also insufferable in interviews, defending the sycophants who were calling him the Spielberg...
Nothing wrong with supporting CDPR directly.
I know right. What about that revolutionary battery Tesla announced or literally anything that improves quality of life?
Don’t get me wrong. I am still team Sony for the most part, but I did pick up a decent gaming rig to go with it. I just suspect foul play with the marketing. They can always hide the deliberate limited supplies on the pandemic if the media starts to complain.
At the end of the day it’s all about the games. Let’s hope CyberPunk lives up to the hype and runs well enough on the old systems.
Captcha and staggered slower releases. Also, we could really do with out the Sony pre-orders randomly going up at midnight. Geoff Keleigh is the last person who should be telling us when to buy something. They let the social media influencers run this launch and this is what resulted.
The retailers along with Sony and Microsoft all share in the blame for this mess. The manufacturers want to generate FOMO to propel sales of their new consoles so they "accidentally" botch their pre-order launch. The retailers don't take any preventative measures because a sale is a sale.
If this were a normal year, I would just shrug it off, but its not a normal year. Putting new gaming consoles into homes would be a great way to encourage people to stay ins...
We should nominate those salty tears of yours. I know I’m enjoying them.
Water is wet
RPGs are supposed to evolve based on your decisions. I don't care if they dumped some awful NPC dialogue into it and trust me, it is awful. None of these dialogue trees go anywhere because they can't have an effect on the surrounding world.
Hell, even dropping nukes in this game is just in there to help improve loot drops. If you can't change anything by nuking it then what's the point? This game is trash, don't be fooled.
@4Sh0w You don't think the quality will drop? Of course it will! Why would a dev feel incentivized to revolutionize gaming with their title if they know Microsoft will just throw a few million at them regardless of what they put out? Just like Netflix, there will be one or two hit shows every now and then and then a bunch of boring crap no one really cares about.
I see a plethora of bland open world games coming to Game Pass. A sea of multiplayer skinner boxes with colo...
If Xbox actually does become the Netflix of gaming, its only a matter of time before PSN becomes the Disney+
Can I just do this on GOG and not even bother with Epic?
