A dream for gamers? We've been dual wielding since Perfect Dark 64! But I guess the article means two different types of weapons. Still, two handed throwing knives were cool.
I just want to give my own little anecdote.
I don't have kids but I have friends who do. When Christmas rolled around last year all the kids were asking their parents for 3DSs. Not one asked for a Vita. Whenever they tell me about the video games they play it's always Pokemon, Mario Kart, Super Mario Land, and the older (12-ish) boys like dragon quest. It's like to them the Vita doesn't exist. I don't know why, but I have a feeling it's because the 3DS...
LOL@ Left for Dead U. Nintendo corners the lucrative zombie market.
I can see where you're coming from. I doubt these games will be system sellers to people who already own a 360, PS3, or decent PC. But for people who will be buying a Wii U anyway, these games certainly add a lot of value. Even if a person owns a 360 or PS3, they'll want to play games on their shiny new Wii U. They want to feel like they're getting their money's worth. It's kind of like when the 3DS launched with barely any games. The Ocarina of Time and Star Fox remakes s...
What I'm wondering is if you tether with an LTE phone, would it be faster than the 3G Vita?
That's more bad news than good. Though they didn't mention the Wii U had higher res textures which I thought was confirmed (?)
It's not the mods. That's what happens when someone gets bubbled down. I see from your bubbles you've never had that problem :)
... LX-General-Kaos?
@moparful99
There is precendent. Remember the whole Immersion technologies debacle about rumble in the controllers? Microsoft just thought "well we can't NOT have rumble" and paid them. Needing to use Blu ray seems like another what-can-you-do issue.
It would be pretty weird if consoles went back to cartridges. SD cards are cheap now but reliable ones would definitely cost more than printing a disc.
Those super high storage Blu rays would be nice but the read speed is too slow. I'm looking forward to the next gen with fairly dense discs with high read speeds so you don't need to install. Though of course I wouldn't mind the option to install if I wanted to.
Edit: Also I could have sworn I rea...
@Locksus
I'm honestly not bashing him. It'd be great if it wasn't an act and he just talked like that all the time.
I REALLY wonder what you're like in real life.
(I agree, btw, though maybe not as verbosely)
Well that's not good. Besides the N64 Nintendo games always used to be cheaper. I wonder what will happen when the next PlayStation and Xbox come out.
Nintendo makes pretty good games.
I'm looking forward to Fantasy Life. It's like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing mixed with an action RPG.
Well said, bubble up.
I'm all for the pseudo parental controls. You mean I won't have to see a bunch of drawings of d*cks? Sign me up.
When you think about it, it's not much different from n4g. If you curse and verbally attack someone you get bubbled down and your comment gets hidden. In Miiverse Nintendo themselves will delete the comment before it even posts. In both cases immature comments get censored.
This article was written a year too early.
The author sure loves his FPS games.
Enslaved sounds like the most interesting one on the list but according to these comments it's no good. If I find it cheap somewhere I still might give it a shot.
GraveLord pointed out to me that the Vita released later in North America and Europe so it missed the Christmas season there. It came out December 17th where I live.
