You stay away from Rita, you hear? She's a bad egg.
They don't hate Nintendo. They just hate happiness. All happiness must be disagreed.
"If Wii U/3DS (Nintendo Network) had an overarching trophy system..."
THIS.
Really? But Miiverse is like half of the console...
It does suck. Everyone imagined a legal version of downloading roms. But it just never happened. If only they explained why...
But they're vintage! /s
Can't tell if serious (Fry squinty eye.jpg)
I hadn't heard about the freezing issue until I read this. I've never experienced it. From what I've read it looks like the problem comes from using a hard drive that isn't powered by an external AC adapter. The people with the freezing problem seem to be using a hard drive with a Y connector into two usb ports which isn't getting enough power to the drive.
It won't play through the Wii U. You'll still have to change inputs on the TV, but you'll be able to use the GamePad as a remote for your DVR.
What a pain. I'm still waiting for the Lostwinds update that will let me transfer it to my Wii U. I want to give my old Wii to a friend but I can't until I get that game transferred. Fortunately every other game transferred fine.
I own and love my Wii U but I can see where this guy is coming from. If I had to recommend a system to someone who didn't own any I'd probably recommend the PS3 for now. Great back catalog of cheap games, all the bugs have already been ironed out, and a nice new slim version just released. The Wii U is going to be around for the next six years. There's no need to rush out and buy one now. I bought one because I would have eventually anyway and, well, I wanted it.
The poor Japanese still don't have any games or demos on their eShop. Nintendo released the Wii U last in Japan too. Nintendo really isn't showing them much love for some reason.
Fortunately one comes with the system then, right?
I have some problems with the choices Nintendo has made with their hardware. Locking an account to one console, region locking, and... well that's about it.
People who get after Nintendo and downplay their importance also seem to dislike the word "innovation" and tend to retaliate with "gimmick". I don't think they understand why people call Nintendo innovative or why it matters that they are. You can start with the NES controller. It seems obvious...
You mean why didn't they make a powerful system and sell at a loss? I'm guessing because that never worked out for them. If they sold the Wii U at a loss and it failed, they'd be in trouble. Sony and Microsoft can fall back on their other products but Nintendo only has the Wii U and 3DS.
The people that disagree, do you not like positive articles? Do you, members of a video game website, want the video game industry to do badly? This is good for all of us.
Way to miss the point of this gesture.
It couldn't hurt and it could help in some way. I can't see a reason not to.
A cool idea but that's still pricey.
SD TVs tend to be a bit bigger than 6 inches. I really couldn't imagine complaining about the Wii U GamePad res. You could easily complain about the 3DS XL if you want, but the GamePad looks fine. I'm guessing you haven't really given it a shot, Thom?
