This article is pretty spot on. I don't know about not releasing games already released on other systems though. Yeah, they don't sell great, but it sure is cheaper porting a game than making a new one. Some gamers have a backlog of games they're wading through and didn't get to all of this year's big releases. Being able to play one of those games on their new systems lets them: A, actually get use out of their new system through the inevitable launch drought and B, gives...
Don't feed the trolls.
He was being sarcastic, man.
Haha, I like when the writer pointed out that with New Super Mario Bros. 3DS/Wii U and Paper Mario, Nintendo released Mario games for every dimension :)
I think that was sarcasm? It's hard to tell on the Internet.
I couldn't imagine playing Nintendo Land with people that aren't in the same room. Some games are just better played with other people in person. Could you imagine playing Wii Sports bowling over the Internet?
Still, if people want the option to play online who is Nintendo to say they can't?
Yay, the gaming industry isn't dead.
The Wii U is weak compared to what? Unannounced consoles? Do you game on PC exclusively or do you have a time traveling DeLorean?
LOL
Eh, I'm sure kids will like it.
I don't doubt they'd do a great job but I don't know why Nintendo shouldn't just develop Zelda in house as usual. Saying Zelda sold 10mil less than Skyrim is true but it's not a fair comparison. Skyrim was released on basically every platform (except Wii) and Zelda was only released on one platform (the Wii). I don't think Nintendo has dropped the ball yet with Zelda, and until they do, let them keep on trucking.
Saying all that, if you mean let them m...
I just viewed those through my Wii U on my TV. They look great! Also that was my first test of how the picture viewer works on the Wii U browser. It works REALLY well. I wasn't expecting that. I actually said "wow" aloud.
The article just says the Wii U plays Wii games fine but it left out tweaks that you could do if you had a PAL Wii. For the majority of people (Europeans included) this won't affect them.
I hope the Wii backwards compatibility becomes more integrated with the Wii U than it is now. I doubt it will be though...
I kind of like the idea of a smaller, friendlier community.
Nice to see teenagers are the same in every country.
All these people saying screw Bethesda and that they want the DLC for free, I wonder why Bethesda doesn't put more resources into the PS3.

I'd like to try it out. I don't know if the tech is there yet but I'm glad people are still trying to improve the technology.
Sony and Nintendo are games companies. They lose money on consoles. If Linux developers want to make games they can use the Ouya.
It seems legit.
@Neonridr, you can't blame a guy for changing his opinions based on new information. I respect that he admits he's wrong... which is pretty much constantly.
@Dirthurts, the Wii U is having a hard time selling? I believe it's selling like hotcakes. Are you basing this on Nintendo being able to keep up with the demand?
