Shadow Flare, that was very well said. I think my opinion of Nintendo just dropped a bit. I say this as a day 1 Wii U purchaser.
I think I remember a snowboarding game or something for the eyetoy. Like you said, the tech wasn't polished, but it was still neat.
As to the rumor that it will be much more powerful than the PS4... I don't believe it. That would mean a very high price, a lot of heat (loud fans, red rings), and a lot of wattage being drawn, all to what end? Developers make their money on multiplats so if you only get a PS4 you're still going to get the games. If Microsoft is smart (and I 100% know they are) they will develop a system neigh identical to the PS4 and differentiate themselves in another way: online, innovative control...
Out of curiosity I went to Kotaku and searched for Sony to see all their troll articles. Out of the 50 recent articles that came up only this "Sony ex-employee" one and this one from 20 days ago ( http://kotaku.com/5965784/u... were negative. Most were just stating facts like games coming out and the like. I have a feeling that it's not that Kotaku has a craz...
Nintendo did say they were going to make sure they were in stock for the holidays so it could just be they came through. Or they could be selling badly. All I know is when the Wii came out and it was impossible to get for months a lot of haters were saying it was all a marketing trick by Nintendo and they were purposely limiting supply. Now Nintendo has units in stock and those same people are saying it's a sign the Wii U is dying. I'm looking forward to seeing the actual sales number...
I've gotten friends together and played every weekend since I got the Wii U. It's a great game. Pikmin and Zelda co-op are a lot of fun.
Why would you need multitouch on a web browser...? Is your computer multitouch? Do you use two mice?
Tre is right, of course, that is what gimmick means. For some reason the meaning only changes when it comes to video games. Maybe Webster's needs to update their definition and add something about Nintendo.
I believe that was sarcastic but the way they did YouTube on the Wii U is pretty cool. If you're showing someone something you can hide what's on the TV screen until you're ready. You can also still browse on the GamePad while playing a video on the TV. They just did a really good job with the browser.
I'm beginning to think you're not a real doctor.
The article clarifies that they mean putting innovative controls ahead of pure power. They actually aren't really talking about the second screen.
Too stupid... can't... comprehend...
You're right, of course. I've always had 2+ consoles and a gaming PC. I just meant I'm still not confident the Wii U will be getting the multiplatform games just like the last generation. I hope I'm wrong but we won't know until the next PlayStation and Xbox come out.
Xenoblade wasn't nominated? I didn't play it but it got crazy good reviews...
Right? I didn't play Revelations but other RE games have some pretty big monsters...
Whoa, bit of an over reaction? Does the Wii get a lot of love from hardcore gamers now?
Raff's comment sounded sincere to me and I certainly wasn't offended, even though I consider myself a hardcore gamer with zero interest in this game.
I think there's about a thousand n4g members who would disagree with Yamauchi.
It looks to me like this will be another generation where, if you want the multiplats, you won't be able to get away with only a Nintendo system.
In the article the writer said "...although $90 for a Wiimote is baffling." What is that referring to? Wii remote pluses are like $40 and I've seen them used for less than $30.
@The Real Peter Moore
The PS1/PS2 had better graphics than the N64/Gamecube? I loved the PS1 and PS2 but that's just not true...
Here's a video comparing the PS1 and N64:

1) Yes, definitely. That was their blue ocean strategy at work. PS1 was weaker than the N64 and yet Sony destroyed them. The PS2 had worse graphics than both the GameCube and Xbox, and again Sony sold an incredible amount. Nintendo took a page out of Sony's book and took it to the extreme. It somehow paid off for them.
2) I doubt that... I mean, they do have the family friendly image, but they own that. Disney is the same, but that's not bad.
3) They ...
