I wouldn't be worry about it now. If you see same choppiness in final game videos then it is time to get worried.
Like all consoles games, Metro series is very linear story base shooters with strong hand holding. Nevertheless they are top in this FPS sub-genre.
The combat system is bad no doubts but it has been always in their games. In the other hand combat system is beyond crap in TES series as well but for some reason reviewers are very forgiving.
I don't understand why we need exclusives bought by money. It is understandable if there are technical reasons not to publish the games to other platforms.
More games for gamers the better.
I really hope Valve is going to be successful with SteamOS and stays away from exclusives. Open platform for gamers.
They say Project CARS supports NVidia APEX on PC + NVidia. Could make water effect look even more impressive when cars are driving closely together.

NVidia GTX 800-series and Titan II are most likely going to be released next month. PC going forward fast ...
I think mobile gaming will turn more like console gaming. Plug the phone/tablet to TV, gamepad / K+M and start playing.

I find games like "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" much more disturbing - http://store.steampowered.c...
I guess it depends how complex the flight and other aspects will end up to be. If key bindings will give a huge advantage that would mean already a problem for porting it for consoles. The controller would mean compromises to UIs as well. As every one who has tried keyboard + mouse knowns that a controller is not good for FPS either.
It is possible that the game will require a good CPU as well. Current APUs are not strong enough. In the end console games are GPU centric and r...
I would add X:Rebirth. Yes, it had awful start but it is going forward nicely and be already quite decent.
Different kind of games so no worth to compare.
Yeah, 16G is very basic nowadays.
Fortunately DDR4 is already just behind the door.

Well, it depends. Would you feel betrayed if you would have helped to fund "Uncharted 4" and later heard that the same version of game is coming for mobile devices as well. I think quite many would be very disappointed and worried about "dumped down" game mechanism, graphics, etc.
I understand people are worried how DayZ will be. Gamepad is not good in first person games and definitely will cause compromises what comes to UI, etc.
I don't like exclusives myself but only when there's some money and businessmen involved. Like most of the console exclusives, a company pays money so the other consoles doesn't get the game - just plain awful.
But games like "Hearts of Iron" or similar are "exclusives" for PC just because game pad is useless for that kind of games. Without k+m it is simple impossible to play any more complex games so I think it is fine that those games are not...
I hoped the atmosphere would be more like in "Alpha Centauri".
Here are some gameplay videos: http://www.pcgamer.com/2014...
To me the game looked yet another simple, story driven game with cover-based combat.
Gamescom shows yesterday made me just wonder why these kind of games sells so well and why gamers doesn't seem to be interested in complex games anymore (fortunately there lots of complex games still being made but gets ~zero attention in game sites).
Just wondering if console support will cause some sacrifices to be done for example to UI.
I hoped they would have used OpenGL on their new engine. Now it sounds like that if they are ever going to port DayZ to other platform they have to make quite big port yet again.
I hope Microsoft concentrates more to console market and let PC evolve to even much more open platform.
OpenGL with extensions has been very powerful but unfortunately Direct3D has been much more used so far. Hopefully OpenGL 4.5 and OpenGL NG will change that.
Great news.

I'm confident about Oculus Rift. Can't wait to get DK2 and start develop with it.
Physics? To me everything looks totally static, at least environment doesn't look dynamic at all.
