If consoles would be so amazing the games wouldn't be so simple and FPS, resolutions and FOV wouldn't were so low.

PC is most versatile gaming platform. It runs all sorts of games you can imagine. It scales graphically from simple to most beautiful games and at the same time the games can be simple or incredible complex. PC is not about hardware as console players tries to claim.

It unfortunately that N4G has pretty much zero articles about more compl...

Looks too much Civ 5 to my taste but I will definitely buy this for SteamOS.

I hoped it would be more like Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri but unfortunately it seems it is not - http://www.youtube.com/watc...

FC3 characters reminded me people from Jersey Shore or from other MTV teenager reality show. I disliked character and the story very much.

I agree that the gameplay was very repetitive and easy. Way too much hand holding to make environments feel interesting and dangerous.

If the reviewer likes complex and versatile games and dislike TLOU's simple and tedious game mechanism and heavy handholding, what could he/she do but give low points?

To me TLOU wasn't even 7/10 game. I just didnt' like it no matter how much reviewer X did.

Runs already Baldur's Gate I, Baldur's Gate II and KoDP - there are no better RPGs for PS4 or XBox One.

It will be interesting to see if there will be Steam support for streaming.

I hope it would have a feeling and theme as in "Alone in The Dark" - http://www.youtube.com/watc... (DOS)

The Evil Within doesn't look anything interesting. Maybe I'm just too old to play these kind of games anymore.

Where did he said this?

It would be great to have a source for this information.

@DigitalRaptor:

It is in Finnish. To me it sounds they were very disappointed to Driveclub. I guess they were waiting different experience they finally got so maybe it is just all about frustration.

They are talking about rubber band AI. Since the game shouldn't have one there has to be other explanation why they said so. Unfortunately they were not more detailed about the problem.

Well, I'm quite sure they are going to publish a vide...

@GameDev1:

Those things I mentioned are comments from the guys in the show I linked. They have played the game and didn't like the experience at all.

I have not played the game and therefore I don't have opinion about it yet.

Unfortunately in N4G you get downvoted if you dare to say anything negative about PS4 or its games directly or indirectly. PS4 master race should calm down a little.

These guys had pretty much nothing good to say about the game other than it looks fine: https://soundcloud.com/neli...

- rubber band AI
- agressive AI; opponents pushed you forcefully on turnings
- continuous "tire sounds"
etc.

2014 has been great year for gaming.

Wasteland 2
Divinity: Original Sin
Europa Universalis 4 expansions
Crusader Kings 2 expansions
Galactic Civilizations 3
New versions of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, UrW, etc.
Tropico 5
... and many great games still coming this year

All the huge AAA titles - maybe not good year for them. I'm surprised people doesn't find them tedious, simple, easy, repetitive, bo...

They say that the game suffers from "rubber band" effect and very aggressive AI. Does anyone know if those are true or just misinformation?

I hope it will be possible play with hand holding; mini maps, quest markers, etc. and the game mechanism and story supports that.

4159d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Why is the series so big deal? Straightforward action game with lots of hand holding, quest markers, minimap, etc.

This review sounds most reliable so far. Those >90/100 reviews never mention about the problems.

If the game starts to feel very repetitive very fast it is a huge problem. If the games hyped features are just gimmick it is another huge problem. Can't be >90/100.

Looks like typical straightforward console game to me. Hand holding, quest markers, linear, etc. Additionally according to these news it is a very poor console port yet again.

If you really want it I would recommend to buy it from Steam sale for max 10€.

An excellent concept and works well. Early Access and Kickstarter has made many games possible we wouldn't have ever got otherwise. Publishers are targeting their games for casual gamers which has pretty much killed many great genres.

No one is forcing you buy them before they are being finished. Wait for the final release and if the game is bad, don't buy it.

It is good to see this game get more recent reviews since it has got so much better from the release - it feels almost different game already. The review was about version 2.0 but 2.5 is already.

Excellent game and it is getting better. Egosoft has good reputation for a long support and they are continuing doing that.

Exactly. As a Linux user this news wasn't good at all.

Otherwise I'm happy for Notch and co-workers making good amount of money and that they can again start to work on projects they have motivation.
