Small form factor PCs like Intel NUC are already powerful enough to provide console experience for living rooms and of course ~$100 NVidia Maxwell (GTX 750 Ti) does that for any desktop PCs.
SteamOS is already most flexible gaming OS available although it will take years before it has enough games (and games with OpenGL 4.5 and NG support) to fully take off.
It has been nice to see that many genres are getting stronger and getting more attention again on PC;...
It wouldn't be huge surprise if that number includes digital copies. The game is simply just bad; badly ported simple and straightforward action game. There's tons of better games available to spend time with.

I think SC and E:D are quite different kind of games. And even if they were much more similar I don't think there would be need for competing (in bad a sense). There's easily enough room for E:D, SC, X:Rebirth, Starpoint Gemini 2, etc. Space sim fans will buy them all anyway.

Many gamers are blown away by games like Dwarf Fortress and Europa Universalis. They are complex and versatile games - worth of >1000 hours. They are not about graphics or simple and straightforward game mechanism as pretty much all of AAA games nowadays are - Uncharted series included.
I hope Uncharted 4 will have something else to offer than simple action and pretty graphics.

I tried to play with gamepad (you can enable it from menus) but unfortunately it was quite painful experience.
The accuracy and speed of mouse and keyboard (hotkeys) are totally must if one wants play it seriously. I recommend to buy mouse+keyboard for PS4.
It is great to see these type of games coming for consoles too.

None of the Dragon Age games has much text so I doubt Inquisition would have either. RPG gamer from big the publishers are mostly story packed hack'n'slash games nowadays.

For some reason consoles seems to be all about FPS and resolution nowadays and no more 'gameplay > graphics' as it was earlier.
In the presentation he said that the FPS module is still using place holder animations and motion capture work is going to begin in upcoming months.
Look quite incredible even with place holder animations.

Just plain amazing. Arena Commander alone is incredible already. Can't wait to get FPS module which looks stunning.
Have you played X-series? There has been some talking that E:D may feel a bit boring for X-fans so it would be interesting to hear more opinions about that.

The only thing I don't like is that the game is exclusive based on business decision. It would be great to have the game for all platforms possible.
In the other hand I don't see what is the problem even if the game is cinematic. It is great to have games from the wide range. Complex grand strategy games, sims and then some simple straightforward action packed games; The Order: 1886, TLOU, AC, etc.
DK2 is outdated already. The articles should focus on 'Crescent Bay' which is huge step forward from DK2. The first customer version will be yet another step forward from 'Crescent Bay'.

It is surprising and kind of sad that consoles has turned to "it is all about graphics" from "it is all about gameplay".
PC has still graphically most beautiful games but it has also most versatile games; complex simulation games, grand strategy games, RTS, etc. that has never being seen on consoles.

According to wikipedia Linux has hundreds of games more than PS4 or XBox One so the support is not that bad. Sure, many console game ports is still lacking but it has many great PC games.
