You don't "build-in" a camera. Did anyone actually reality check on that? Does it make any sense? It might be packed in, but it's not going to be built into the unit.
And I could believe it would get a slim redesign, but it's not going to be enough for a whole rebrand.
It depends. There is no quick answer to "it is worth it", despite what fanboys might say.
I haven't done the analysis, but, in general, if your breakeven point is higher than the sales of the best selling games on PS3... then no. If you only have to sell 500,000 to make a profit, then sure, go for it.
You do the math. You don't just go on your gut feeling (that's you, fanboys).
And, also note that third-parties and first-party have different...
I do tend to agree they should be optional, but the game should tell the player if there is some advantage to installing, even on 360.
If you are playing Fuel on 360, INSTALL! It will shave as much as five seconds off every loading screen. No joke...

The time for buying a PS3 has already come. Honestly, I would have reservations this time last year (despite owning one as far back as early '08), but the time of the PS3 came this spring.
But owning THREE PS3's? That's little psychotic, don't you think?
Very cool mod. I'm glad to see more and more PS3 users taking to case modding like they did for the 360. It's a sign of a vibrant community.
And case modding a PS3 has much less risk than modding a 360. Clearly, I love my 360, but case mod it and break the warranty? I don't think so.
On color palettes, I really don't care as long as I can distinguish friendlies and enemies, and the lights on characters really did that well in KZ2.
But I still can't help but think people criticised Gears for the same color palette thing but gave KZ2 a pass...
spandexxking, those "mirrors" are just windows into another area where they re-render the same content in reverse. Pop in Mario 64 and look in the mirror room. You can move the camera into the mirror and realize that they are actually rendering another Mario.
For all those of you who seem more clueless, people are disappointed that Killzone 2 has already taken a backseat to so many other good games.
Killzone 2 was a great game. I know, I played it. But it wasn't the second coming, despite examining the evidence plastered inside the shorts of fanboys. It was good... just leave it at that.
But when you get such a dense release schedule of first party games, did you ever think one game might cannibalize players from anoth...
There's no real "free-running" in prototype. You can freely run straight up the side of a building with no regard for the laws of physics. Comapring this to Infamous, Crackdown, Mirror's Edge would be a mistake.

You would cut out a company like this if the cost of development outweighs the revenue you receive. That is, if you are losing money on PS3 development and would have MORE money had you not dealt with that company.
For the same reason, why don't people develop for Linux or Mac? Because they probably won't make their investment back.
Money is what makes this industry go around.
Think of Shadow of the Colossus. Amazing artistic game... but sold a fraction of the blockbuster franchises.
I'm not going to say whether one is better than another because there are a large variety of opinions that matter on that front. But this industry can't survive without a focus on making money.
So, to paraphrase the article, "Do you want the Money, or the Mob!"
Do you want to keep on making game for the PS3, or do you want to fall victim to the mob mentality that will tear you apart for saying anything negative about their darling?

I think it's quite a disservice to paint 360 as needing Blu-ray... or even wanting it for that matter. In fact, it's clear that PS3 needs Blu-ray more than 360 does. Lucky it already has it.
Please don't fracture your user base...

And for the record, I blame the developer first for making a crappy game on a platform that has seen tons of better games. And I MIGHT blame Sony second for being that much more difficult to develop on that it would make a difference... but I really don't have first-hand experience to support that.

I know what people are saying about where the PSP is "targeted", but think of how many people upgrade to the next DS when it comes out. Why isn't Sony getting some of that pie?
Because they priced it to compete with some gadget there really is no competing with right now. Instead, embrace the upgraders, lower the price like this article is suggesting, and reap the rewards of selling more hardware.
In general, an international location would be something new, but GTA has become such a commentary on American life... why drop that?
What they need is another state-wide game, like SA.
And who said GTA V would be limited by DVD9? Not the Fuel devs...

You haven't seen "too seriously" until you hear an MGS fanboy talk about how Solid Snake is better than Master Chief... because he's more refined and kills with stealth... and therefore an MGS gamer is more refined than a Halo gamer. It's just sick all the crap people with inferiority complex use as leverage to make themselves better than someone else.
Here I am saying people can play whatever they want and enjoy it, and everyone else is criticizin...
