My guess is that it's the final battle for the Mishima Family. The series could continue with new protagonists, but the vendetta between Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin finally gets resolved.
What kind of stupid bullshit is this? Indies sell DAMN well on the PS systems, and many of the systems' most acclaimed games are indies. Journey, anyone?
To be fair, Activision is NOWHERE NEAR as bad as EA right now. They're actually pretty golden right now with Destiny and Advance Warfare coming down the line. Hell, Ubisoft might be doing worse than Activision too on the PR side after their no-women-in-Assassin's-Cre ed fiasco.
And Squeenix and Capcom are just FUCKING AWFUL right now.
I'm hoping they finally fix the parry timing to match Dark Souls 1, cause parrying feels so off in 2. You have to do it way in advance, and the animation doesn't match the parry (you look like the parry whiffed and you're getting hit in the face, yet the parry works anyway, it's retarded).
@Hardcore_gamerxbox Wow, way to fulfill the stereotype, no wonder indies abandoned Microsoft en masse to go with Sony. You shouldn't crap on indies, they form a SUBSTANTIAL fraction of game sales these days, and the huge amount of money they generate with relatively low investment earns publishers a lot of the money that serves later for AAA titles.
Not to mention that some of the greatest and most artistic games ever made are indies, and many indie games serve as a start...
To me, it's all about Bloodborne. The Souls series is, to me, the best game series to come out of the last generation of consoles, and Bloodborne will definitely be a system seller.
Wow... This is actually makes a LOT of sense. If a game is being marketed for its longevity, it SHOULD be reviewed multiple times down the line to see if it does live up to the promise. For once, i see an opinion article where the author makes both a compelling AND valid point.
EDIT: And the author mentioned MAG. Wow, I loved that game, and the game DID get a whole lot better as it got tweaked. We're actually seeing a similar situation with Warframe, too. The last patch m...
Am I the only one who think it's an ADVANTAGE that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming out on the previous-gen systems only? It pretty much has no competition on those systems that month in its genre, it's from a proven and QUITE beloved IP, and most gamers who have made the jump to new-gen haven't gotten rid of the previous-gen systemas and still play them often. I know I'm certainly playing my PS3 more than my PS4, as much as I love my new box. I'm thinking the game mi...
What pisses me off is that RE's shift to action is what led to Dead Space's shift to action with Dead Space 3. That fucking killed the best modern survival horror series :(
My dream scenario is that Capcom goes the way of THQ and Keiji Inafune (with the help of investors or even crowdfunding) manages to secure the Megaman IP. Have Megaman's daddy rescue his son and bring him back in epic fashion.
But of course, this would mean there's justice and love in the universe, and I think I'm much too cynical to believe that :(
What a way to start 2015! This will definitely become one of th PS4's killer apps, and it'll be easily be a candidate for GOTY. The addictive, strategic, hard gameplay of the Souls series with the horsepower of the PS4 behind it.
@kigduqc There's no chance of the game coming out for PC, this is a From/Sony co-production, like the original Demon's Souls was. Plus, this is a game that will sell systems, Sony won't risk losing sales by releasing this for PC. ...
Sir, I like the way you think. Bubble for you.
Bring me Yakuza 5 and Valkyria Chronicles 3 and I will worship the ground you walk on, Sega.
The fact that I actually clicked on the header to see if it was satire or not speaks VOLUMES about how much the ending to 3 is still in people's minds.
Fallout 4 better be spectacular, cause I'm thinking if Bethesda doesn't roll up its sleeves and make it so, Cyberpunk 2077 is gonna rip it a new asshole.
*slow clap* Well said, sir, well said.
The best year in gaming, hands down, is 1998. Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Xenogears, Half-Life, Starcraft, Gran Turismo, the first Unreal, Banjo Kazooie, Megaman Legends, Fallout 2, the original Pokemon, Grim Fandango, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Thief, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Suikoden 2, the release of the Dreamcast... and METAL GEAR SOLID.
Seriously, that year is god-tier, IMHO.
Of the ones mentioned on the list, Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Tomb Raider and Mortal Kombat are definitely my most awaited. The one NOT mentioned and that I'm crossing my fingers WILL make it out on 2015 is Cyberpunk 2077. I've honestly never gotten as excited for a game as that one.
I just crack into laughter every time EA does another scumbaggy attempt at easy money. They're so over-the-top cartoon villains now it's hilarious. They're so bad that ACTIVISION have been looking good lately in comparison.
Which one is BR5?
