(looks at Halo 3 case that was over by the TV).Its..uhh got a M for Mature rating too sir.Im guessing ODST does too.
Like thats stopping kids from playing "adult" games anyway. You never notice the moms and dads looking at their kids Xmas list and blindly grabbing whatever game is written down?
Whats your other arguments? Larger console base..OK might be a factor.
The "nothing decent has come out all year" line was explained very well by bigrudowski so...
I would have put Twisted Metal III on that list.
The first was very good (mainly because it was a fairly original concept)
The second was all kinds of fun.
Then the third one came. I honestly used it as a coaster in disgust.
At least Twisted metal Black/Head On kind of redeemed itself.
No it doesnt mean its better.
I'd rather play L4D even though its panned for having a limited number of campaigns and basically 4 hours of single player.
Im not into Halo, but its got to be somthing more than hype for Halo 3 to remain a great seller after 2 years with competition like COD4 and other shooters.
Cant really offer a opinion on Killzone as ive never played it.
MS has shown they can compete in the game industry. They are currently the number 2 in the world for console sales. Some of Sony's bad business decisions cost them alot. Because Sony had a HUGE percentage of the gaming market.
BOTH companies have long term strategies.
Ahh..The exclusive game argument. To be honest,I really havent been blown away by a in house game from EITHER company.Im not crazy about Halo or Uncharted! But there have been some games that only cam...
Oh dear..Lots of ground to cover here.
Might as well keep it short.
1) Sony is a company that ultimately cares about making money too.
2) Your spell checker obviously is broken.
3) Most of this rant is the usual "talking points".
4) You forgot the mandatory list of PS3 exclusives so I can feel left out.
5) Kakihara's comment was funny.
Germans drive on the right same as us.France and Spain does too.
England doesnt.Actually alot more countries drive on the right.
I dont think it would be distracting as the HUD is pretty big.
But it may be a adjustable feature anyway.Wouldnt be hard to do.
Im curious if some of the Japanese cars will be RHD.Because there will be models in the game you couldnt buy in a LHD configuration (like Skyline GTR's).
Not just that.Have the ultimate 'dead" bundle.
L4D 1&2, Dead Rising 1&2,and Dead Space
With a coupon for a free chainsaw.
Yeah your seing KPH in the speedo and MPH on the right of the screen.
100KPH = 62 MPH
Maybe you can change it.Or maybe its just like that because your driving a German car.
If they could convince every handheld owner over there (heck just half of them) to buy Natal, maybe they would have a shot.
But im not holding my breath.
Spot on Cheap.
You also need to factor what Sony spent to redesign that SKU to make it cheaper down the road.It cost money to take things away.Weird huh?
I just tire of the "desperation" talk, because it looks to me Sony has taken more drastic action to gain marketshare lately.Lower price, new SKU,and a relaunch marketing blitz.
In comparison,MS has upped hard drive sizes. What was a $299 60gb is now 120gb and black in color. Not faulting them for that as its a be...
Wasnt there a PC game years ago called "Virus" that actually incorporated your system files as part of the game?
Of course you didnt actually risk anything with it.
A game with real life consequences. Dont know how to take that.
But even that issue can be taken out of the equation if you use a PC where you dont care whats on it,so whats the point?
Yeah I never bought or used a MS point card before. First time for everything.
Another campaign is worth that to me. Im glad the Survivor mode was free, because I didnt enjoy it as much.
Im digging that inside the car view.
Could Sony even offer a PS3 for less than $300 even with a smaller HD?
I think they went all in.Its a great price to the consumer.
And MS will make some money from LIVE to help compensate even if the hardware dips into the red.
I suspect it costs MS less to make a 360 than it does Sony to make a PS3.
MS can afford to sell their hardware for less. And with about 2/3 of 360 owners with a gold LIVE account, they can recoup some money there.
Sony cant. Their SKU is $299.00 and if its already selling for a loss, where can they go from here?
Both companies are using different strategies. Its interesting to see how they pan out.
Concerning the article...What this "for the second year in a row MS is doing a holiday bundle"..I got mine during the 07 Holiday sea...
If they threw a HD in with the $199.00 Arcade,it would put them in a great position for bargain hunters.Looking at the economy,it takes a bargain to get people nowdays.
With a $199.00 Wii coming,I think MS has to do that or lower the price on it to say...$179.00.
They currently have a 60gb 360 for $249.00. I dont think it costs them that much more to have a 120gb packed in there instead.
Im thinking that we will see a 250gb 360 soon for $299.00 as the norm.
I still dont get the whole "desperation" argument.
What makes Sonys $299.00 brilliant and this desperate? Is MS losing money at $249.00 like we KNOW Sony is at 300 bucks?? All MS is doing with these different SKUs basically revolves around HD sizes.
Bioshock's story was great and of course Half Life 1 and 2.
Yeah Dead Space too.
I never played Halo 1 or 2. To be honest I never played a original Xbox. Everyone I knew had a PS2 then same as me.
That might be part of the reason I didnt get into Halo 3 as much when I bought it with my 360. Whos this ghost chick Master Chief is talking to??
Im happy for the fans though. If you like it,thats all that matters.
I dont have a PS3 yet,but can someone explain why so many PS3 games have these mandatory installs?
