Well,I agree with the guy on Vice City being better then San Andreas at least. The Wii Sports/Halo 3 being overrated though? Sorry, but both sold a ton and are still popular long after they were released.Overrated to me is a highly anticipated title that disapoints and ends up in the bargain bin in short order.
Yeah if they did that and moved the sticks a little further apart,it would be a perfect controller for me.
I guess alot of it depends on what type of games you play.Ive never been into fighting games, and alot of games (I have) either use the D pad for secondary controls or as a substitute for the left stick.
Ive always liked the Sony controller since the PS1.When I first tried a 360 controller,I found it akward because it was different. But I liked it was a little larger (have long fingers) and the triggers are great.
Now its a natural fit to me like how I felt the Sony controllers were.
Both are great designs but neither are perfect. The D pad on the 360 isnt as accsesible, but Ive always prefered using the sticks since the Dual Shocks. The triggers/shoulders on the 360 are better. ...
Yep. Slow news day for sure.
Soldier of Fortune: Payback is a great stealthy crap title.Great to give to that not so special someone.
As for the article. I never heard of any of those games either.
OK..So your telling me they dont have the "talent" to pick up the phone and hire some PS3 "artists"....
Wow.
No Mr Obama. If im an artist and my canvas of choice is X over Y then it is. Your saying its makes me less talented by what kind of base I start with to make art from?
I choose canvas instead of clay so I stink???
Valve's reluctance do do anything for the PS3 has more to do with return on $$$ spent im sure. Porting the 360 from the PC version is simpler and more cost effective.Their forte has always been a PC which from Valve's standpoint the 360 basically is. So if you have to ...
They lack talent Obama? Does a Nascar driver lack talent because he cant perform ballet?
Does a sculpter lack talent because he/she cant write music?
So Valve made a unpolitically correct move towards another game system. I hate being "PC" so i find it refreshing in a way.
Someone at Valve could claim my 360 is good for nothing but scratching discs and burning coffee, and I'd still be anxious to see what new games they have coming.
Lifes too short to care what some clown said about a console.
Well thats really the best answer you can give, as no one knows what you get...and what you wont taking the free option.
I read the quote earlier about online gaming remaining free. But what if any kind of chat goes premium? What if they give you faster/better servers with premium?
They have to offer somthing enticing to make people want to pay.
The new characters are OK.Ellis is the main standout with his stories that carry on untill one of the others tell him to shut up.
Coach and Nick have their moments and Rochelle is just kind of there IMO.
I wouldnt pay for virtual clothes myself, but I think some games like L4D2 have clothing/articles you "win" by earning certain achievments.
I could give a rats rear end about Facebook and Twitter, but Last FM and One vs 100 are worth the price of admission to me.
Especially One vs 100. Im looking forward to the next live show.
Yeah, I was VERY young when it hit. I remember reading about entire arcades in Japan that had NOTHING but Space Invader machines.
I do remember EVERYONE going nuts about Pac Man though. I even had that crappy "Pac Man Fever" album.
I knew the placement of the UC games would have this community crying though.
Twisted Metal II got some love (as did alot of great games I enjoyed) so im happy!
Maniac Mansion was fun.I think it was on the Genesis too. Actually im pretty sure I had it for the Genesis.
Vice City wasnt the pioneer, but I enjoyed it alot more than GTAIII. Mainly due to the music and spoofy Miami Vice theme.
But i'll guess why you havent heard of half of these games. Your probably younger than half these games. And I mean no offense saying that.
Zork was one of those titles that launched a genre.
Nice, fair piece. To me its just fun. The debate over what people consider it technically seems like a waste of energy.
If you dont mind a hint of constructive criticism, the word "repetition" was in there quite a bit.
Whys it so good? The whole co op FPS thing is fun to me. I'd rather be part of team that has to work together to survive/win.
Its lacks story??? Uhh..How many zombie movies have you seen? They are coming, we need to get from here to there and live.
The short narrative works here IMO. Plus blowing off zombies heads never gets old.
The game is too short? It wasnt designed to run through like Bioshock and "beat the game". Its a multiplayer game at heart, and the AI...
Even if some mod was done with no INTENTIONS of piracy, you still fall under their agreement. Someone else could take what you did and use it (or part of it) for illegal purposes.
Only way to avoid all that is have a no mod policy for LIVE.
I dont know if MS can actually "prove' outright piracy or not, but if they could,i'd go after people criminally.
Its a slap on the hand to get a sub $200 piece of hardware banned from online features in comparison.
Mr Logic...Maybe she was buying a Blu ray for the living room and a 360 for little Timmy upstairs?
Maybe they are gifts for two different people??
Or maybe she just doesnt know a PS3 plays Blu rays.
Hard to say whats sad if you dont know the whole story.
My Walmart visit yesterday showed people crawling all over Wii stuff and "some" interest at the Sony/MS displays....Like usual :(
But I picked up L4D2 at another store for 40 bucks ...
