Im not trying to pee in anyones punch bowl, but how newsworthy is bragging rights on a unscientific poll?
You know UC2 is going to win.
But seeing how you can vote multiple times, anything is possible......
This thread made me curious of the "One vs One Hundred" game so I played it last night. It was fun (im a trivia buff).
The ads were no biggie.I'd rather catch a few of them than be charged 1000 MS points or somthing to play it.
Heck the long breaks give you a on screen time when the games back on.Just enough to take a leak, grab a Dew/snack,etc.
The only thing irritating to me about L4D involves the human element. The author is spot on about playing with friends...Or at least making new ones who know what the word COOPERATION means.
If you have a run off ahead Rambo and/or a straggler(s) in your group, everyones probably gonna die.
But with a group that plots, plans, and talks to each other..The game makes hours seem like minutes.
So product placement is not a form of advertising in your opinion?
Interesting....
I stated your still watching ADS.
Thats short for ADVERTISING.
I understand his point, but the chosen venue to relay it comes across as insulting to many here. We are at a place catering to fans of video games right? Someone basically calling 99.9 % of the posters here slaves to TV, video games, etc. AND small minded to boot!
Sounds snobby and elitest to me. I'll watch another Presidential address with the new clown if I want to hear that......
But please, dont stereotype me because I enjoy blowing a virtual head off or two ALONG WITH time I...
Product placement in films and shows is growing because of DVR's,internet, etc. My wife's favorite soap opera for instance featured all the actors driving Nissan products......
I gave up HBO afer Rome and tire of their lefty heavy "documentaries" and other shows, but thats another topic.
I have no problem with ads in this fashion. The game is one feature you get with your gold membership.Gran Turismo has been a (fun)stealth ad campaign!
My first thought was it was Shrek with glasses.
Im sure its just timed to coincide with the Twitter and other stuff that just hit.
Yeah I tried playing L4D tonight and the lag was bad.Everyone I attempted to play with had the same issues.
Earlier today it worked great.
If im a cheapskate pirate, why would I buy a NEW 360? Wouldnt I be better off buying a used one from a "safe" source like Gamestop?
I wrote yesterday that I feel MS would rather they DID buy a PS3.Good riddance as they are nothing but a liabilty not a asset.
And to the innocent modders "unjustly" caught up in this? You signed a virtual contract on the terms. If MS cant differentiate innocent modifacations or feel they could be used in a perverse fashio...
Maybe they caught it early since he was already a cancer risk.
Good luck Mr Allen.
With all due respect NYC,
If the very existance of said mom and pop store is hinged on how much they can bend the rules, and peddle product thats not hit its release date yet, then they are on their way out anyway. You think 8-10 "must have" titles a year that generate any kind of appreciable hype, will keep their doors open??
Small business can co exist with the big boys. You just need the right niche, show value in your product, customer support, etc.
I dont w...
Wrong post
My best friends red ringed a few months ago.But..I was surprised it lasted almost 2 years. He used it without good ventilation and at least once a week,he would crash out in the living room leaving it on all night.
They still fixed it free and hes taken steps to avoid it happening again.
Ive always been a little on the paranoid side when it comes to game hardware, but I think it has served me well. My almost launch PS2 still works great as does every other console going back to t...
Well im not OK with it.You dont justify bad behavior using bad behavior of your own.
The whole "big, evil, corporate" tone here is admirable to make people feel better. But the truth is big business developed, manufactuered, advert ised, delivered, and in many cases sold the game.Who was behind the counter getting your 60 bucks is probably profiting the least from it all.
But if you want live in a conglomerate free bubble, start by ditching everything with a name brand in you...
OK...And what if I own a mom and pop game store, stick to the release dates like im supposed to,and a competitor breaks them to basically take potential sales from me. So I report them.
Should that change the situation?
Even better. What if GAMESTOP decided to launch the game before everyone else? Guess that would be OK too eh?
Im no Gamestop fanboy.Im really not a fan of any paticular store where I buy games (especially new releases as they generally are priced the same no...
Do splitscreen with a buddy then. Its still quite fun that way IMO.
But then you would have to buy another controller........
I loved Bioshock and commented here sometime ago about it in a thread. Someone responded that was overly critical of a "boring" shooter with no multiplayer.
Was he right? Not to me.But if your all about shooting things with/at friends,Bioshock probably isnt your cup of tea.
Now L4D is best played with at least one friend.I had alot of fun just doing splitscreen with a buddy and online/LAN is where it really shines.
As such I cant fault it for being what it is.Ha...
Slow news day? The opinion of a guy, who basically is subcontracted by Sony, means what exactly?
Its like asking a Mcdonalds franchise owner if he prefers the Big Mac or the Whopper....
He's got alot more invested in the Sony brand than any of you here clutching your $300-$600 console.
I found the ending amusing..."Their unwillingness to move graphics up a notch allowed Sony to get a foothold with their groundbreaking Playstation. And the rest is history."
Uhh...Wii anyone???? DS anyone??? The Nintendo model still works. They dont have the uber dominance like they had, but neither does Sony anymore.
And I remember too how bad that Pacman was for the 2600. Whats sad was the Ms Pacman for the same system was actually a pretty decent port. But th...
