Im not wishing for a RROD incident.Mines a newer one anyway so thats not likely to happen. But neither system is immune to problems and thats just somthing im not going to dwell on.
Its a POTENTIAL drawback im willing to take in exchange for (wait for it)...having alot of games to choose from now AND tommorow.

I could care less which plays expensive ass movies I have no desire to start collecting (by the time I do,the movies will be cheaper and standalone players will be $99 specials).

But you also need to keep in mind someone new to the "next gen" consoles will find LOTS of 360 titles to choose from,and they are all NEW to them.Many of those are bargain priced too.
IMO,theres more interesting games coming that are multiplatform anyway.

For two, I dont see Sony dropping the price AGAIN so soon.
The 360 didnt drop last Xmas season did it? I mean they did offer the "Holiday" bundle with 2 games like I got (well one game and one coaster called "Marvel Alliance").

Ive already reserved a copy for the 360.Ive never reserved a game before.
IMO a large part of the PS2's dominance was that it doubled as a DVD player (it was my first DVD player).Anyone else remember what a DVD player cost then?
VHS to DVD was a jump consumers embraced and the PS2 was timed right.
Where not all convinced about Blu Ray though.Im not giving up my DVD's yet.
You know the Dreamcast had a about a year and a half lead on the PS2.

After looking at what the top games are in Japan periodically,I could care less how bad the Xbox does there. If I was into those games,I'd own a Nintendo product.

Yeah..I agree there was better ways to do it.
I got around that by "cheating" a bit. IE..I really havent STARTED playing the missions yet (besides the first few).Im still having fun doing whatever and then die and save my level when im done. Hell..I may be at level 20 or somthing from the start when I actually do the missions!
I hope the PS3 does well.Competition is a win win for consumers.
In the meantime,im enjoying the next gen system that has alot more games to choose from. Ive seen more multiplatorm titles than exclusives that interest me too.
BTW..How come Sony doesnt have a Twisted Metal for the PS3 yet?

Fox offers ALOT of "opinion shows" that are often confused with the "news".They are NOT one in the same....Except when someone like Dan Rather on CBS gets caught!
All the cable network stations here have plenty of shows like that.The difference is only about 12 people watch MSNBC at any given time. ;)
