Agreed. The only thing that was written even romotely negative was about a thin storyline. Uhhh..How much storyline do you need to recreate a B movie about zombies??
Simplicity works sometimes.I dont need a 10 minute cutscene that just leads me to mowing down zombies anyway and getting to the next 'save point".

Would I pay? Nope,not really a big COD fan to start with.BUT...Someone is going to offer a subcription game for consoles eventually.Then we will all find out if theres a market for it.
That and Activision would have to SERIOUSLY step up content and "WOW" factor, as there is no shortage of good games that involve shooting things.
Mine is a little over 2 years old and no issues (knock on plastic).
I dont think its fair to compare the older systems to these.
Those old units were pretty simple beasts.I think my NES will still work if you can get the cartridge to load.That push down setup was comical even then.My Genesis,Lynx,PS1 (since 96'),PS2 (since 02'),Dreamcast , and Colecovision also still work.

I would guess yes as its only a $100 less than what a core system was 4 years ago.But even if its not,MS can gain some losses from the LIVE service.
I respectfully disagree. Im sure they havent recouped from the R&D alone for the new SKU letalone dropped the loses to under 20 bucks a copy.They really stepped up on advertising too which aint cheap.

If you adjust for inflation,games and consoles have never been cheaper. A copy of Pac Man for the Atari 2600 cost about $40.00 in 82'.
Thats about $90 in todays money. And if you knew someone who had a 2600 in 77' when they launched,they paid about $725.00! ($199.00 then). Today,you can buy a new 360,Wii,and PS3 for less than $725.00.

One little thing I noticed about the demo is the pistols.They animated the zombies better this time around so you know they are hit/dead when using them.Its frustrating when playing and someone else already tagged one, but im wasting a shotgun blast on them.They actually changed alot of "little things" making the game fresh.

The used "new releases" at the local Gamestop I saw were not a good deal. I think they may have been 5 bucks cheaper.
I have bought used games before.Mainly older titles they didnt have new anymore.
My nephew bought the full Beatles Rock Band set last month. First time I ever played one of these type games.
I really couldnt get into it.Played it fine,but it wasnt "fun". The drums were the only thing I found mildy amusing.
The DJ Hero controls look overly complicated.
I bet MS would rather the pirate buy a PS3 than continue to steal from them or find another workaround.

I have a hard time buying the "popular here" excuse that so many 360 sales are merely replacement units.
Why? because if that was the case,then the software sales wouldnt be like they are.
I bought gas last night for about $2.55 a gallon.
18 gallons worth is about 45 bucks. And alot of vehicles can hold that much,not just trucks.Nissan Altima for example.
But yes, $45 shouldnt be that big a deal IMO either. Ive spent alot more in other entertainment venues and recieved alot less in return.
Ive gotten more replay from L4D than anything else in my library this gen.
