With MS being so secretive about Natal, I cant see how anyone can say "Move (or Natal) is better!".
Sony seems to have been giving up the goods sooner about Move,but that just means E3 wont fill as many unanswered Q's about it.
But what Natal's all about is alot of speculation at this point.
Cant people just wait a few more weeks to see how good (or bad) it is?
Thats true to a point.I think the Atari 2600 was around $199 when it launched...in 1977 ($715.00 now)! yeah I spent alot of hours playing those too.Like TM, IMO Carmageddon 2 was the best of that series too.
Twisted Metal 3 was horrible in my opinion. "Rouge trip" was the unofficial sucsessor to Twisted Metal 2 and was also alot of fun (I think Jaffe made it). Black almost had that same feel of Twisted Metal 2.

Well supply and demand dictate what everything is worth. If this thing actually works great AND has games that take full advantage of it,I could see people lining up for it even at a $150.Maybe not you, but thats why all games are different.Because people are all different too.

I didnt think $150 for a plastic drum set,guitar,and mike was worth that,but alot of people bought it...And all that amounts to just "extra controllers" (with a game).
Im hoping Natal is less than $100 and comes with game(s). Guess we will know soon enough.
If this thing truely changes the way you can play a game (for the better) or has a launch title thats a "must have", even at $150.00 it will sell well IMO.

Not really news IMO.They announced this thing almost a year ago and obviously needed time to get it right (presumably). So launching it in time for the 2010 Xmas season makes sense.
My 6 year old wants a Wii, but getting Natal instead is appealing to me. She will love it and I'll like navigating the dashboard with my hands,voice commands..etc.
Of course she still may get a Wii depending on how Natal is priced......
My 360 turns three in October. I kinda wish it would red ring so I could get a new one for free (from what ive been told, mine has the integrated disc drive so pretty much all the guts would be replaced).
But I havent had any trouble to speak of with it.It was reluctant to read discs a while back, but "fixed itself" somehow. My launch PS2 still works great too and its what? 8 years old now?
I'll probably buy a PS3 this year and take the "Blu ray" plun...
A GOOD Twisted Metal game is what will get me to pick up a PS3. Ive been waiting a long time and still play Twisted Metal 2 on occasion (plus Head On for my PSP).
Yeah I know what you mean. These assumptions that if the competition remains as it is now, "X" system will win.
Problem is,it rarely works that way.
What if a HD Wii launches as the same pricepoint..or even LOWER?
What if this rumored smaller 360 with a NATAL add on undercuts Sonys new price?
And lets not even get into what a big draw game or two can do for console sales. Sony or MS could capitalize on that.

You could say the next gen started when the 360 launched. But i think its safe to say that when the Wii and PS3 joined the party a year later,it should be accepted that the "next gen" was rolling. The Ps2 passed the torch when the PS...wait for it....3 hit the shelves!
I couldnt tell you off hand what the latest PS2 games even are. I'd guess many of them are kiddy oriented and easy to make ports of 3rd party Wii titles (because the Wii is no graphical powerhouse).
I got it for the 360 about a week after it released for $40.

A "Fox and Friends" segment that put some guest clown on with a view opposing yours, doesnt make the whole network "anti video game". Its not a news show on the channel really, but they do have a news anchor that comes on every 20 minutes or so to give a brief rundown of that latest news. Nice to see idiots sometimes that dont share your opinion rather than the news telling you who is "right" or "wrong". That and 24 hr cable news needs SOME kind of fil...
I'd rather have competition too. This gen is fierce for that.In the past, other consoles dominated the landscape. Sounds great if your a fan of that system,but what innovation was delayed because the NES killed all? Or how much faster would the PS2 have dropped in price or maybe even embraced online gaming more if it had more competition??

I understand where your coming from, but I think your examples are not a proper apples to apples comparison.
Your Acer computer has lots of the same guts as other name brands,a OS thats shared by other types,and uses software just like any other Windows PC. If Acer went away tommorow, it probably wouldnt effect you in the least. You could still buy "somthing somthing 2010 software" next year and run it on it just fine. If HP went under tommorow, I wouldnt care myself.

Point 1) The PS2 didnt have the competition that the PS3 has endured since it launched,so why act surprised that Sony wasnt quick to drop its price then? Note how the Wii JUST dropped 50 bucks after being out for...3 years???
Point 2) It seems you relish the fact that some retail stores took it upon themselves to sell more 360's at a lower price. So tell me..How do you feel about a competitors console that not only reduced the price...
Yeah the kids bug me too.I was playing L4D once and a 8 year old was playing with us! Which made me think of two things immediately:
1) What parent would buy their 8 year old a game where you blow the heads,limbs,etc off zombies?
2) What parent would let their 8 year old voice chat unsupervised with god knows who?
