Hard to have users leave in drove when your competition is in on it.
That's kind of what happened to Canada. With only like two or three major providers, all of 'em brought the cap. So as a user, you're kind of caught with no-where to run.
It's just a way for them to gouge their customers too, as actual bandwidth isn't THAT expensive.
EDIT: Heh, conflicting comments. =)
There are a few smaller ISPs (such as TekSavv...
It's a pity that most of these stuff aren't in the game at launch.
They're pretty obvious additions too... such as the map showing you the flag's name.
Only problem with this UI is that it wouldn't work too well for small resolutions. It's probably why DICE went with the current GUI in order to be able to use it for both consoles and PC.
I don't think public servers or private matches are an option if you have dedicated servers. (on consoles at least)
Unless if they go with a mixed approach (Homefront tried it I believe?) but I doubt the console hardware can support that with BF3.
The early-DLC announcement was before the 1943 issue was raised up.
It looked more like they were replacing the free copy of 1943 with the early DLC.
You know you're pushing the enveloppe when abbreviations start to become mouthfuls.
The narrator as well.
Articles like these happen for each game, including multiplats.
If the author wrote an opinion peice about ArkhamCity or SkywardSword or Skyim, most people claiming 'PS3 hate' wouldn't utter a single word.
It's just making you lot look insecure at this point where any criticism is reponded with the "We're a victim of the media" card.
That, and I'm surprised you bothered to make a 'journalist' rant when the aut...
Halo is dumbed-down Tribes.
=p
Looks good, but I've yet to see a mod that beats the DeltaSector one.
"I don't know if Deus Ex should should be on this list, you don't even have to use guns outside of boss battles"
You don't have to, but more than likely, you're going to end up using weapons. Just because a game offers you the option of being non-lethal, doesn't mean it is disqualified from being an FPS.
Otherwise, you can play through Crysis2 with your fists as well.
"or release the game sooner."
I don't agree with that last part.
If I'm paying for the game, then I don't mind waiting to get more content.
If you had the choice of Uncharted2 releasing early, or UC2 having MP, which would you have gone with?
Don't see how L4D is better than the 2nd.
The only thing L4D did better was the atmosphere (it was darker) but since the majority of the L4D maps have been ported to L4D2 (on PC version at least) there isn't much reason to play the original.
The list is for current-gen platforms only.
Otherwise, there'd be SilentHill, EternalDarkness, SystemShock2 and Amnesia.
Although the author does state their reason for deeming what games are 'horror'... I still don't think any game on the list belongs in the 'horror' category.
None of them are particularly scary.
... but they're fun at least.
... and if you're going to include RE5, then might as well include FEAR3 in there as well.
For the price, I don't see how the build is bad.
You don't need that strong of a CPU for gaming.
The memmory is fine considering that 'multi-tasking' isn't really an issue when you're gaming.
The 6850 is a decent card for most games.
Also, the price of the OS was included. (Just not in the title)
The carry-over mostly depends on whether the next console has backward compatibility. If someone only had one console this gen, having the assurance that their current games will remain playable is usually enough to keep them sticking to the same brand.
Other than that, humans are selfish creatures, and they'll usually go for the cheaper deal (or whatever they feel gives them the most bang for the buck)
Fanboyism will still be there as the people who buy ...
" I don't know how much education you've received but unless every single game on the PS3 has lag problems, it's not a hardware issue."
It depends on the type of game.
How many games on PS3 are open-world while keeping track of changes to the world that you make?
There aren't really any games on the same scale as Skyrim, and it's making the hardware have trouble. Bethesda's hands aren't exactly clean, but you can&...
It was on the first page.
EA said their plan was to make yearly FPS releases too, so I guess there's bound to be a MoH2 or something.
What about Stalker2 and the new RainbowSix?
"As a 10 year cod veteran"
... how could you be a 10 year veteran when the series itself is around 8 years old?
... or are you 10 years old? O.o
