^ There's always going to be some discrepancy. I picked the similar playercounts because it is one indication that there is no big gap between the playerbases.
You can look at bfbcs, which also has the total players for BC2 to be similar for the three platforms.
I don't doubt that the 360 would've sold more than the PC, but the gap certainly isn't 5x.
Fred was making that claim based on retail sales which don't include the digital ...
^ No, the console version didn't sell fives times as much as the PC version.
If you look at BF3Stats, then the playercount is usually similar for all three platforms, which indicates a similar number of purchases.
Anybody can be a critic.
Anybody can also criticize critics.
^ Solidus/Raiden had that dynamic, with Raiden finishing the father (Solidus), similar to Snake finishing BigBoss (ok, not exactly), and BigBoss finishing the Boss.
The Boss and The Sorrow might not have the same duo, but they certainly had an interesting relationship, ending with the Boss killing the Sorrow.
I dunno, I just prefer older settings over the near-future sci-fi setting.
... so, Rising then?
If they're going to pick anyone from the currently revealed characters, I'd be interested in The Boss.
Hell, you can probably sneak in some co-op by adding the Sorrow.
There's also JustCause2 for over-the-top openworld action.
Unlikely.
It'd make it to FOX if the mod let you kill fetuses though.
... except it wasn't ND's first game.
That was to be expected since ND admitted that they thought of the set-pieces first, and then tried to make a story around it.
I'll agree with the puzzles not being as challenging, but I found the story to be pretty good.
For a game where the main character is essentially silent for the whole game, the amount of character development that went on was pretty amazing.
The Co-op was a bit more fun.
Perceptions change from gen to gen.
Last gen, it was the PS2 that was the 'main' gamers console... and before that, it was the N64.
There isn't much carry-over, usually the quickest and cheapest platform wins.
Yea, I lol'd when I saw that.
Eh?
It says 'ships' in the title, and states expected revenue.
You don't have to shove the console war everywhere.
... has there been any announcement on the actual price of the map-pack?
^ I think Steam gives you an option to opt-out.
Origin doesn't.
They're sticking with their engine because it looks good while runing at 60fps. Something which not many other engines can claim of doing on consoles.
The age of an engine doesn't matter as long as the game itself has staying power. That's why games like Valve's FPS games are still popular today despite being on an 'old' engine.
It's funny how even when Valve gets hacked, people still try to pretend that Sony is the victim.
Didn't even have to change passwords if you had SteamGuard to begin with.
... and I've been checking my CC transactions anyways because I bought BF3 from origin and there's horror stories going around about EA charging multiple times for the same copy.
... I don't think 'simply' polished means that polishing itself was 'simple'.
I'd pick LPB2... but for some reason it keeps getting overlooked.
Probably due to the launch being early in the year... or maybe I just have unpopular tastes.
