^ The Wii is its own market. Console market is a bigger umbrella term, the same way that PC gaming, consoles, and handhelds are under the gaming market.
If you're going to go with 'bigger market is better' argument, then you have to follow your logic to its conclusive end. If you're going to pick consoles for their bigger market, then you'll also have to pick the console with the biggest market, and that's the Wii.
Consoles don't have dedic...
"The fact that Sony and Nintendo is supporting this shows that Asian companies do not have the slightest idea on how the American market works."
... but EA, THQ, TakeTwo, Ubisoft and Epic are also supporting SOPA.
I don't think Nintendo/Sony are that naive to not know how the american market works. They know that passing SOPA gives them more control, and that's why they're supporting it.
... if you're going to go by which market is doing better, then that means Wii is the best choice for gaming then.
=)
As for the article, the reasons are kinda lame/obvious. Better hardware and better visuals are linked as well. Should've mentioned things like mods and dedicated servers.
"If kojima hadnt made MGS1 for the PS1 you wouldnt be able to emulate it on your PC."
... You do realize that MGS1 has a PC version, right?
Substance as well.
O.o
C&C General2 is also on FB2.
Check the trailer out, it looks like pre-rendered CGI.
This, ladies and gentleman, is a man who has never heard the concept of LAN parties.
Even then, not sure what's to gain with offline multiplayer when I can play online while on mumble.
Naming exclusive franchises doesn't do you any good.
I can just as easily list Trackmania2 has a creative racer, and then list a bunch of RTS games that consoles don't have.
... and there's plenty of indie platformers, some supporting multiplayer (such as...
I agree about the humor/tone of BadCompany being better than Battlefield3. I like the more stylized and colourful design of BC2 over the grit thing that BF3 has going on. It kind of made BC stand out from other military shooters.
However, that is just a personal preference... and the previous Battlefield games have had the same kind of seriousness.
As for not having (m)any battlefield moments, I thought so too so I played BC2 again for a few rounds. From my experience...
Been keeping an eye on that mod for quite a while now.
AfraidOfMonsters was a pretty good survival horror mod, and CryOfFear looks pretty impressive when you consider it's a HalfLife1 mod.
Rush?
You're doing it wrong.
... there's people that think Tribes:Ascend is a rip-off of Halo.
:D
I don't think that 'niche' and 'high sales' are mutually exclusives terms.
GranTurismo5, for example, is a niche title, yet it still sells. A lot.
... but PCs have blu-ray disc drives, don't they? O.o
The monsters in L4D are 'infected' as well.
Except it seems they read the zombie survival guide and try to behave according to the book. =/
Why not just play it on PC. It's usually dirt cheap during steam's sales and almost any PC nowadays can run it.
... so then what is the pinnacle of motor sports?
Monster truck driving? O.o
Edit: Lemans and F1 drivers back iRacing too. =p

$0
I pirated everything. /trollface
Just kidding. I haven't done the total yet because I'll still be brutalizing my wallet during the winter, but I think it's only ~$500. Mostly due to digital sales and savings from GMG.
I still haven't had time to play all the games I've bought. =/
L4D has a story.
As for an AAA zombie game, there's RedDeadRedemption's zombie DLC.
That's about it.
... but I think the main reason people are going 'ugh' is because zombies are something that have appeared a lot. The setting feels kind of stale to some.
It'd be the same feeling if ND was making a military shooter. Sure, the game could turn out great... but the initial reaction is 'why not pick something more creat...

Tunnel Snakes rule!
If you're a masochist, I recommend DarkSouls.
DeusEx is pretty decent as well, although it's not really a 'pure' RPG.
