You seem awefully touchy.
They article isn't exactly flattering Nintendo or Microsoft. The general idea is that Sony is doing a lot of things right and is miles ahead of the competition in terms of user-created content, but they're not really communicating that to potential customers.
It looked like a joke to me, mainly because his statement had subtle irony.
All you did was take it seriously and tried to turn that subtle irony as an argument.
It gave me a smirk as well... but I guess if I'm not taking everything seriously whilst lashing out at others, then I'm part of the problem. Cool.

^ ... but isn't that true for most/all games?
The same-basic-actions-repeating-o ver-and-over bit, I mean.
.... but PC players aren't paying for elite.
No higher resolution doesn't mean more RAM.
RAM is only one factor, and even then, not that big of a factor when it comes to resolution.
GT5 also isn't in 'full' 1080p.
Why would they let you get it early? O.o
Elite only promises free DLC when it is available, so I don't see why you expect it to give you DLC a month early.
The same thing happened with BF3, LE purchasers were promised the first DLC for free but they still had to wait longer than PS3 players.
This isn't exactly anything new, so I'm not sure why you're taking it "personal".
No, it isn't insulting to 'us' real gamers.
There isn't a creed or a handbook that you follow to be considered a 'gamer'. As long as you like to waste time playing games, you're in the club.
@Donald
He didn't say AC was a better game than UC, rather, he said that AC does platforming better, which is just an element of the game.
Just because it won awards doesn't mean it is perfect and/or exempt from any kind of criticism.
Trine2 if you like Co-op.
EDIT: Yea, it can be played single-player, but it's *kind of* like LittleBigPlanet as SP is fun, but MP or Co-op is where the real fun is at.
Otherwise, check the indie bundles (Humble/Gala/Royale), they'll keep you occupied for some time.
"Does that mean some blog gets to question the minds of people for their personal hype and interest of said game?"
Did you even read the article? O.o
Asside from labelling TLOU as 'over-hyped', there isn't a lot of negativity in it... and it was only called 'over-hyped' because that's what some are calling it.
The article isn't attacking TLOU, but rather, it is defending the hype and tries to explain (briefly) why...
... but it's the over-hyping that will damage the game.
Uncharted3 for example, is a pretty good game, but if the preceding hype gets taken into account, it kind of borders on disappointment territory for not having the same leap that UC2 had over UC1 (an unrealistic expectation)
We know very little about TLOU, but articles about how it will bring back survival horror or expand gaming narratives will eventually lead to unrealistic expectations, and if you...
If that's all you did in Skyrim, then you're playing it wrong.
LPB2 ... I like the art style.
@Bordel
There are cases where there's lawsuits over trivial matters, but that's bound to happen.
At the same time, corporations have done some pretty ridiculous things too.
You can either give the legal advantage to consumers, and have a few bad apples suing over silly matters... or give the advantage to corporations, and have a few bad apples hosing their customers.
I'd prefer the former than the latter.
@Quoderat...
Sony, EA, and Microsoft change their TOS and essentially force their customers to barter their rights for continued service... and you're pinning greed on the customers themselves? O.o
People don't necessarily sue for the love of money (not in gaming at least), it is mostly for dealing with situations where the publisher rips you off. An example is EA promising Battlefield1943 for PS3 BF3 buyers.
It is mostly done to keep large corporations in check.....
That's not a proper way of looking at things.
A lot of FPS games were released, but, a lot of games in general were released as well.
You can't just say there were X number of FPS games and use it as an argument while overlooking the total amount of games released. Try going by percentages, and you'll see a better picture of the rift.
Even then, being an FPS game doesn't have much to do with creativity. It's a genre for games that are in fi...
Heh, I think during the summer they had a game for 107% off or something.
The price was negative for a short while. :D
^ I think it might've been sarcasm.
Not much need for L4D if you get the 'proper' L4D2 game as most of the L4D maps have been ported to L4D2.
Custom mod maps are iffy. Some custom maps on PC take up a lot more hardware usage than the vanilla maps, and I think they can also use assets from other valve titles.
There'd have to be some sort of quality control to ensure that a custom map doesn't cause the console to combust. =p
