... aren't the ads in the PS Store just for items on the PS-Store itself?
(Aside from maybe the one for that fancy Sony headset)
I haven't set foot in Home in a long while, so I don't know what kind of shenanigans go on there.
... but the question remains as to why they took the patent. Maybe they just want to hold on to it, but who'd ever actually want the patent to begin with?
To be fair, it can be argued that currently PS+ is at the point where it is almost a no-brainer to get it for most people.
If only they were a bit more agressive in actually advertising all the stuff PS+ members get vs XBL Gold.
You got it all wrong. See, Sony doesn't plan to implement those kind of ads.
They just patented it so that no-one else could do it.
This way, gamers are ensured that their playtime will never be interrupted.
Sony is looking out for us.
Anyways, it seems like the article is jumping the gun a bit. Game-interrupting ads would cause such a backlash, I doubt any sane company would do it (which the article does mention)... unless if they were on...
That's all I saw in the article as well.
Just quotes taken out of context, misinterpreted, and then bashed based on those interpretations.
The whole '7/10 should not equal %70' bit was also silly.
For someone trying to point out the ignorance in game journalism, the article's content was pretty ironic.
It's not like its the site's first review.
... and it doesn't mean their review is any less 'real' just because you've never heard of them.
The big sites might have a reputation... but they don't necessarily have a good reputation.
Well, the site doesn't load for me so I don't really know what the article is about.
Anyways, the title/summary give off the impression that the article is negative towards the Vita... and at that point, a lot of people won't even bother reading the article because to them, the article is just seeking hits.
The lesson to learn is, using a rhetorical title on N4G is usually a recipe for disaster... unless disaster is what you crave.
Brink tried it too. That's all I can think of.
Unless if you want to count KZ3 too.
^ The other way around for me.
The average human mind I encounter online can't compared to a well-developed AI.
That's a new one.
They usually just compliment my mom whenever I kill them. =/
There were at least two weapons in the trailer (the common projectile and the faster electric-bolt thing at 2:30)
Not really sure if that's good or bad. Might mean less variety, but it also means balance.
TrackMania is pretty awesome, and this is looking quite good too.
Only problem would be sorting through all those user-created maps to find a good one...
They usually tend to play games a decent amount.
It's just that most games have an early review copy, so they usually get to play for around a week and then write a review close to the launch date.
I don't think Blizzard gives out any review copies, so that could be one reason why they had to wait a week to make a review.
... besides, I doubt there's many people that were going to buy Diablo3 based on its reviews anyways. =p
Most people will only read the title and the article summary.
The 'second chance' bit in the title implies that some people might have given Vita a first chance and didn't insta-like it, so it is met with hostility because it doesn't paint the Vita in a positive light.
The 'questionable decisions' bit in the summary implies that Sony isn't doing everything right, so again you get hostility.
Change the title to something like "W...
Gee, thanks for the generalization.
Let's ignore the fact that it's an american site that is trying to encourage people to get a Vita.
Not really.
A GOTY edition is planned, and it's probably best to just wait for that to release.
There's also the upcomming summer sale which'll likely see it at a lower price as well.
So it's probably better to skip the deal
... if you have the patience that is.
"I was in a computer game. Funny as Hell, it was the most horrible thing I could think of."
That part caught me off guard.
I think the panel-style narration kinda fit the tone more, gave it more freedom to break the 4th wall.
It seems this game was previously under the name of "Hedone" which was intended for PC/PSN/XBLA.
I suppose that since Sony bought it, they'd probably want to have it on their console.
Guess we'll know once E3 arrives.
There is no guarantee, but them saying it is the first step.
They might change their minds afterwards, but for now, they want to keep things mostly fair.
First time I'm hearing about this game, but sounds interesting. Glad to see that devs don't want it to be pay-to-win.
I wonder if the other major publishers will take note of F2P games and try to bring more of them on consoles.
EDIT: Actually, I don't think it lists what platforms the game is on, but I'm assuming it will be on PS3?
He's playing hardcore mode. When you die in-game, you stop playing.
