Why doesn't it count if it's running on PC?
The concept was cool.
It just wasn't 'worthy of a half-hour' cool.
A few of the hype/rumors were also barely grazed... like the PS+ thing or the cloud gaming rumor.
It's too bad there isn't a feature to just copy the game off the physical disc if you own the digital version.
Would save me some bandwidth.
I already bought Infamous2 early this week.
Oh well, was still worth the price... but it was a bit odd of them to do that.
Guess I'll just be enjoying SaintsRow2 then.
Wasn't the guy playing with a PS3 controller?
EDIT: The visuals looked good, and the special effects (fire, water reflection) were impressive, but they didn't scream next-gen to me.
Considering the two year dev time, I'd expect it to be for current-gen.
... the reason you're getting so many 'They copied Tomb Raider' arguments is because of the new TombRaider footage.
The initial argument is actually that the new TombRaider is copying Uncharted... and the reasponse given is that it was Uncharted that copied TombRaider first.
You're overlooking the initial argument.
Desert-themed...
... just like the rest of the game. =/
I find it odd to call them lazy when they're not under any obligation to develop for the platform to begin with.
Their job is to make games, and selling games earns them a living (it's a simplified way of looking at things).
If they don't want to work on a certain platform, then they'll be losing out on those potential sales. It's their loss essentially.
A lazy developer would be one that makes a half-assed port. A developer that d...
Asside from graphics, I don't see why they can't include those cars/tracks on current-gen hardware.
It only takes more data and there is plenty of that left on the blu-ray... especially considering that GT5 only took up around ~20gb.
Edit: Polyphony has already said that they wanted to include bikes. Still don't need next-gen for that.
... in that case, PS3 already has backwards compatibility because you can just buy PS2 games on PSN. (PS1 games are still playable on PS3)
BC in general doesn't require physical media, but in this context of gaming, it does. You're right, BC means being able to play past titles, and in the past, the titles were all in physical discs. So unless it's capable of playing those physical discs, it is not BC.
Also, the Wii does support GameCube games, as...
... and they were both beaten by Twitter which was voted as #2 overall.
You can't gift the steam version of those games.
The past Hitman games did both stealth and action. (You could play it as an FPS if you wanted)
It's just that the stealthy approach was more satisfying.
It seems Absolution is going to try to improve the action bit, but that also has some fans concerned that the stealth part will suffer.
... then what's stopping you from simply trading in the physical version?
Crysis1 does exist on consoles (it's on PS3 at least). You can compare it.
It'll look similar, but the PC has the visual edge with bigger resolution/frameRate... and more ram which allows for mods and stuff.
Then again, it also costs more, so the difference is expected.
Although I don't think any of that has much to do with cloud gaming.
That's the plan.
It's pretty amazing what an indie dev (like.. 2 guys?) can do.
Other Ubisoft titles? Clever.
Elite did the same thing. If it got slammed, then BF3 premium deserves it too.
Based on the leak, it's not just DLC that you get with premium, there's also other bonuses and some of them aren't exactly fair.
Some of the stuff are things that all player should have access to.
Things like queue priority are kinda unfair... while features like saving BattleReports and having doubleXP events should be available to all players.
That is ...
... both WatchDogs and TLOU had a similar length of presentation. I don't see what point you're trying to prove with the 'limited presentation' bit.
