^ Battlefield, Cod and Halo are targeted at the same audience.
Your attempts to reason why Xbox players are not playing BF3 is laughable as well.
... but the article has nothing to do with the stuff you're talking about.
You'll be hard pressed to find anyone that would defend aimbotters.
Was disappointed by lack of FarmingSimulator.
"Most games look bland grey and brown with lots of shinny"
That holds true even when those games aren't using the Unreal engine.
Dishonored, MortalKombat, Borderlands, MassEffect, Bioshock and the new DevilMayCry...
Considering the wide spectrum of visual styles that the Unreal engine has produced this gen, it seems kinda unfair to blame it for the monotonic visual style that has prevailed most of this gen.
Seems dull brown/grey...
An engine does more than just produce visuals.
When devs make their own engines, they usually make them for a specialized goal. GoW's engine was made for GoW, and GG made their engine for KZ. It would be difficult for those engines to handle a different type of game.
The few engines that are licensed (such as Unreal or Frostbite) are made for a general purpose and can be molded to fit the developer's desires.

It's been $30 in Canada for boxing week.
Can probably grab it from FutureShop as well, considering it's the same thing as BB.
It's not just SquareEnix. Ever major publisher is pushing multiplayer into their games.
Compared to the BloodMoney one, the AI here isn't that bad.
BloodMoney is the game where you can blow up a dance floor with remote explosives and a few NPC might still keep dancing, completely oblivious of the dead bodies all around them.
They were inspired by Liquid/Ocelot in MGS4.
KZ3 just has a multiplayer demo/trial. It isn't really F2P.
I've been expecting UC3 for quite some time now, seeing as how ND seems to be copying the same steps as TF2.
You get penalized for taking down any non-target NPC. You just get a smaller penalty for subduing them, and that penalty goes away if you hide the body.
I've played Journey twice and don't really get all the 'emotional impact' that everyone else seems to be having.
Maybe I don't have a soul, I dunno.
Personally, I'd have gone with FarCry3 or Dishonored.
Still, looking through IGN's other awards for this year, they've done a good job with the picks.
Dat grass.
I guess there is a certain allure.
I spent way too much time entertaining myself with the grass in MGS3.
I didn't find the year that stale.
I enjoyed 2012 because a lot of the big-name games were non-linear with Hitman, Dishonored and FarCry3 being at the forefront.
There were a few 'stale' sequels such as MassEffect3, AssassinsCreed3, Halo4 and Borderlands2 which were highly anticipated but didn't particularly do anything unique... well, except for BlackOps2 which managed to be better than expected (although I'm not sure if that's worth ...

They picked Skyrim because of mods.
It looks pretty good with them... http://imgur.com/a/CT8ZX
Why would a PC make console exclusives look amazing? O.o
I'm not even sure what your point is there.
All platforms have exclusives, so you're bound to miss out on games whenever you only pick one platform.
I think that would have taken away from the experience.
Portal has fun with the silent protagonist idea, such as the initial conversation with Wheatley where you end up jumping.
The taunts by Glados are also amusing because they are one-sided. If the protagonist was able to verbally respond, then those conversations would lose a chunk of the humor.
...have you played SpecOps:TheLine?
Oddly enough, I wouldn't mind Square grabbing it up.
Would be pretty sweet to get JustCause's presentation with SaintsRow's shenanigans.
