Are you really going to berate Nintendo for missing those characters when BattleRoyale is missing Crash and Spyro?

I'm not even sure if getting third-party characters like new Dante and BigDaddy is even worth bragging about. Felt more like an advertisement of future games rather than a battle of classic playstation characters.

"Not once have I been caught in a stealth game and said to myself, “Oh well, I'll just accept being caught and continue on with my overwhelming sense of failure.” I've always restarted the instant I got caught, even if there were methods of coming back from the capture."

While I too do this, it's not something I'm all that proud of.

I've found that by quickloading after every failure, I've denied myself a great deal of challe...

Err, Brawl was part of MLG too.

Not sure how that even counts as an argument anyways since CoD is in MLG.

"Live’s hosting - leaderboards, matchmaking, the lot - are all run by Microsoft rather than by third parties."

None of those services require that big of a cost. It can easily be supported through their digital sales and through advertising.
MS already does both, and probably makes a profit from physical software sales too. So it really is a poor excuse they're offering.

They might get some shred of justification if they at least used de...

Games aren't cars. They're a different industries and you can't expect the same rules to apply across the board.

When it comes to digital content, allowing for the resale of used content is something that is quite difficult to accomplish.

Physical PC games can't be resold since the advent of CD Keys, so suing Valve doesn't make much sense.
That... and Valve isn't really the kind of company that abuses their customers.

More so an issue with people giving negative votes when they see something inappropriate (or they're really angry) while not many people give a positive vote.

So a lot of quality posts don't get the recognition they deserve.
Unless if your idea of quality is cheesy one-liners, since that's how I got my bubbles.

I would like it if authors of user-blogs/reviews got unlimited bubbles (or a higher amount) within that blog/review. Seems kinda s...

"Even in this very blog you can see the people who see the true state of Nintendo vs. the people who think everything is equal."

You have somehow confused your own opinions as facts, with anyone who agrees with you as someone who sees the 'true state', and anyone who disagrees is part of some problem.

It's the internet, I don't have to try hard to find criticism on any subject... and a low frequency or quality of criticism can mean a...

I didn't see any major attacks except maybe one comment? Otherwise, it looked like a healthy discussion with different people offering their opinions.
Or maybe I just live in a rose-tinted fairyland.

I'm not sure what you're expecting. That people should be allowed to criticize Nintendo and no-one should present any counter-arguments?

If you want to criticize Nintendo or anyone or anything for that matter, go right ahead. Just don't ex...

I'm surprise by the online store. It's pretty good... now why can't they just get it to be this smooth on the ps3.

^ You might be surprised to know that Cliff has worked on games other than Gears.

... but yea, sure, I'm a die hard defender because I don't think some guy who's been influential in the gaming industry for the past two decades is a joke.

^ No-one said that Cliff was the only one who worked on those titles. He was the designer and director though, meaning he knows a thing or two about designing games.

With that in mind, his opinion holds some weight when he comments on another game's design. Calling him a joke is just laughable.

- Complains about game starting underground or in sewers, when in fact game starts on a boat.

- Complains about gameplay being same old, but has to reference games from different genres to show how Dishonored borrows idea and does nothing new. Even more amusing is that the mentioned games didn't even come up with the original idea that the author credits them with. Also overlooks abilities like Blink, or the fluid platforming.

^ Why deal with it?
Timed-DLC a silly concept, and people are well within their rights to complain about it.

It might even make Bethesda treat all platforms fairly next time. Slim chance, but it's better than just bending over to 'deal with it'.
