^ I heard horror stories of multiple servers redirecting to the same one and "tactical" rules. Kept me away from venturing into it.

Dedicated servers? O.o

I would expect the console version to be peer-to-peer with PC getting dedis.

Replace them with the screams of the Soldier from TF2.

Apparently it's a mode where the infected driver has to bump into other players.
'Sounds... fun?' as the article says.

Though, I believe the GranTurismo series came up with the idea first by employing zombies for the NPC cars. :D

Edit: @below
Just a small friendly jab at the drivers in GT being emotionless. Nothing serious meant by it. ;)

It'll take a long time to reach that price on steam.
Activision can still dictate the price... and if the previous CoD games are any indications, they'll stick with their stingy prices.

I only bought BlackOps after MW (skipped WaW cause it didn't look interesting, and MW2 had the IWNet fiasco)
It looks and performs decently, though it is obviously a console port for PC since BC2 seems to give me better performance than BlOps. Multiplayer is fine th...

.... Fall is here? O.o

Meh, Stalker and it's mods have been keeping me warm recently. Along with a bunch of multiplayer games.

Well, EA has been going for it's free-dlc-if-you-buy-it-new-or- have-code so even if it was disc-locked-content, it'd be free. Unless if they do a 180 and decide to price gouge.

Might not exactly be an attempt to shaft us since Battlefield is notorious for being slow on adding new content.

I do hope it has mod support eventually though. The engine seems like it can produce some good community-created content. Restrictive servers might be an issue for ...

If there's one thing I want from TF2, it's the taunt system. When I kill someone, I want to do a small volunteery action (like pausing, pulling out a cigar, lighting it and taking a puff) while the killcam focuses on you.

I can only imagine how angersome it will be to get sniped by a medic, only to see him combing his dirty moustache on the killcam. =/

Bf:Heroes has something similar to it too. Alas, it might lead to idiot team-mates that worry more a...

Well, Bioshock2 wasn't really made by the same team. It was mostly for fans wanting more out of the universe.

Bioshock was actually the second time they caught lightning in a bottle. They already caught it once with the original SystemShock series. ;)

Gamersgate ain't too bad... they had a few good deals during the holidays.

I guess he sort of has a point. Any time a competitor enters the DigitalDistribution scene, the market share will get spread out.
For example, after the holidays, I still check GamersGate for deals every other week or so, and will probably give them a gander during the steam summer sale to see if they have anything to top steam's offers.

... but I don't see how that...

Ain't no love for resistance. At least insomniac got R&C.

Though, don't games usually need a sequel or two to be recognized as a franchise?

I've never seen anyone remove one year from a competing company due to the product being released earlier. O.o

The so-called handicap that the PS3 suffers due to an earlier 360 release is counter-balanced by the superior hardware the ps3 has (later release usually means better hardware).
To a market analyst, what matters is how much of something is sold. The company with most product sold is crowned the "winner", irregardless of whether it had a head-sta...

It's not a fix-up job; it's a tune-up.

Improving? They're just taking it back to what the genre used to be.

We need a new No-One-Lives-Forever game. =(

Well, the changing colours kinda striked me as being useful for runner-vision.

@ATiElite
I'd rather it be the other way around. Since MirrorsEdge goes for clean minimalistic look, it would make a good trial for the engine.
They could then just add more detail and destructibility to all the buildings and make them into a bonus map. :D

Unlikely though since BF3's release is a few months away. =/

Can we play in vector land?

Although... judging by the video, I think DICE could pull off MirrorsEdge2 before releasing BF3.

Progress feels good.
O.o

The "PC elitist" in the article thinks more console games should start getting dedicated servers (especially the 360 which has a subscription)
I guess he needs to get laid for thinking that, eh?

Prone is already confirmed for BF3... You can't Dolphin dive though. =/
